I just left from Van Pigs stand 20 mins ago the one on Porter and I had a gift card pulled up to the drive-through and asked what can I order for $10 and a lady proceeded to say well you can’t order anything on our menu for $10 and I said well what about the burger deal that you posted upfront and she said oh yeah you can get that so I said yes I want that minus onion onions add grilled onions and she said well 65 for grilled onions and I said fine. I’m pretty sure I have enough. She proceeded to ask what I wanted to drink and I said a sweet tea with extra ice extra ice over the intercom of muting it she said. Huh REALLY.. and I was like if is she said I didn’t even charge you for the grilled onions go ahead and pull around so when I pulled up to the window I asked could I have some ranch for my sauce and she said that’ll be $.65 and I told her I’ve never had to pay for a side of ranch and she said Well, I’m manager and I’m telling you right now that is $.65 I didn’t argue or anything with her so I was just like OK never mind well she shut the window and I could tell that she was talking about me to one of her customers cause I was looking out at the window and laughing. I don’t know what was being said but that made me feel like the way she spoke to me and made the little comments over the intercom that I wasn’t good enough to come and spend my spend my gift card that I had and second Manager you shouldn’t be making a little smart remarks over intercom or anything like that I felt I’m very uncomfortable like I couldn’t come and spend my gift card there that I had and I should not have felt like that. I don’t know if it was because I’m black because I had dreads or I don’t know what it was or if I didn’t have enough money for her to be pulling up and spending vans or I don’t know what it was but regardless I had a gift card and no customers have to feel like they don’t belong at that restaurant or anything. Customers are always right in come first. I’ve never had this experience advance before I love eating there and this little experience won’t turn me away, but “A MANAGER” Doesn’t need to make anyone feel uncomfortable the way that I felt today and I hate that I had to write this but no one should be able to make anybody feel that way or treat anybody that way like they’re better than them. That’s the way that I felt that she was better than me and that my business wasn’t good there honestly, but thank you and I hope the issue gets addressed and have a...
Read moreWhen I moved here from Texas, my husband took me to Vans. I have to say, being a native Texan- I am very particular on the bbq I eat. I was very impressed with their food, so much so- we eat here alot! Our office started ordering lunch there weekly as well. I am not sure what has happened over the past couple of months, but the service has gone WAY down! Between our office orders and my personal orders-- they have managed to mess up 12 out of 20 orders! In fact, one order was for our office- we picked it up and it was wrong. We went inside and they corrected it-- we did not check the second order because we THOUGHT it would be correct this time. We got back to the office and it was STILL wrong! We called and talked to the manager, who offered to drive it to us, which was great, BUT it was still wrong. We thought well maybe its just a bad day, nope we are still having in correct orders-however, we now check them before leaving and get them corrected. The other issue- our office orders online, to save time and we request curbside. The last 3 orders we have made, we order- wait about 10 minutes and go to curbside. We call them and they tell us oh we are just now making the order-- which makes us have to wait(almost every time, another 30-40 minutes). Now I understand mistakes happen, but its getting to where it is EVERY time we order. When you have an hour for lunch, you do curbside expecting it to be ready when you get there(to save time). This is not the case, our co-workers are spending almost an hour just to PICK up the food. So I have to say-- we have given this business so many chances to get back to where they used to be, that my office and my family have decided to not eat here any longer! This makes me sad, because their food is really quite good--when...

My first time was after last weekend's OU football game, but I quickly learned that they close at 9 p.m. I will avoid closing time in the future. We first pulled up to the drive-thru and clearly stated over the speaker that we were coming inside.
After ordering, we were informed that they were closing. I decided to sit anyway because we had to wait for the food. Once again, we were informed by another employee that they were closing soon. We got our food and began to eat and was, again, told that they were closing soon. I get it, but every restaurant I have ever been to allows the guests to eat before making them leave. I would understand if we were prolonging eating, but it was just moments after closing time.
We took our food outside, feeling unwanted, and ate on the hood of our vehicle. Fortunately, I was allowed back inside to use the restroom.
The food was wonderful!! I have Alpha-Gal, so I had the smoked turkey sandwich. I also have Celiac Disease, so I had to upgrade to a gluten-free bun. The sauce is unbelievably tasty!!!
Because of the taste of the food, we returned today and enjoyed the restaurant in fully open mode. We were able to receive their novelty cups rather than Styrofoam. We also were able to enjoy the relish bar.
In addition to our meals, we ended up buying extra sauce. The man who bottled it for us was super friendly and helpful. We had an amazing experience today.
Unfortunately, we didn't realize that they had a rewards program. So, our meals from last week and this week were not counted, but some points were earned for the sauce.
We live about 3 hours away, but we will definitely be returning!!! I love the food!! Today everyone was...
