As a barista it's an interesting experience to visit another coffee shop other than my own. Empire coffee has a minimalist theme. Nothing would be distracting to the eye. White hot cups, clear cold cups, small text menu board, some plants here and there. You get the vibe. I ordered a 24oz Iced White Chocolate mocha with a chocolate loaf and a 16oz Iced Mocha during my 4 hour stay. ( I was working on editing video subtitles. ) The peak of traffic was at 2:30pm but it was a full house the entire time. Most of the customers are either in their early 30's or late 50's so I felt a bit daunted walking in and not seeing people my age (not including the baristas). They were inviting and quick to make drinks. So what's the verdict about Empire's coffee? It's alright. Satisfactory but not great. I prefer a different brand of flavoring and stronger coffee because those 7 shots did...

I've overseen this place go through it's wave of employees but THANK GOD the original manager came back from her maternity leave! As a customer before and after working there -- I'd usually steered clear from ordering anything with espresso when newer and inexperienced baristas were there, so I would only get iced matchas. I have also seen a few of the original baristas come back since Becca's return, and I'm glad to see their bright and kind presence again.

The previous group of gals seemed very clique-like .. highkey have had better customer service at McDonalds but I digress. They were okay but definitely lacked in personality. I finally returned over the weekend and saw new faces as well as familar ones, and everyone was so kind and had actual COFFEE EXPERIENCE not Keurig Experience.

Looking forward to detouring to Normandy Park after...

I've been coming here for the last month. I appreciate that there is much parking, there are not long lines for drive thru. I have a rule that I live by and it is to never wait in line for food. So I am happy when I find a coffee stand that does not have long lines.

I also appreciate that Empire Coffee carries pastries that are plant based. My favorite is their Blueberry muffins; recently I tried their chocolate chip cookie which was absolutely delicious. There is a wide variety Lattes, expressos, chi tea,Italian soda to choose from. They have always made my Breve Latte just the way I like it!!

This is the ideal place to come to with friends to relax and chill out. It is roomy and cozy all at the same time, the staff are awesome. I recommend Empire Coffee...

My husband and I love visiting Empire coffee! The baristas are always SO friendly and always go the extra mile to make the experience great. We enjoy their coffee, tea and breakfast sandwiches and our pup is always greeted with a cookie. When they learned it was his “gotcha day” they asked if they could make him a puppicinno and it totally made his day and ours. Thank you Empire Coffee for being a great part of our community!

We went to Empire Coffee on a Sunday afternoon. It was not crowded at all. My husband got the pour-over coffee, which was so good! I ordered the chai latte, and it was exactly what I wanted. We chose to come here because the reviews mentioned it is kid-friendly. The kids were so excited to play in the pretend coffee shop. The pastries were also delicious. Overall, it was a great experience.

Latte, worst ive tried anywhere in seattle. Watery, milk not textured and not hot at all. Not busy to not make a half decent drink. Interior and equipment it's deceiving. Ended up throwing away the drink, didn't care to say anything if they feel its ok putting out such a low quality product. Just imagine if I said something.
