Went into this establishment for the first time on Saturday afternoon. Had always wanted to give them a try. I love good bar food and a nice ale (or beer) 🍺. I went in, not to many tables taken. Which was great, easy to social distance from others. Since Covid-19 is still raging and people still getting sick. I happy showed my vaccine card to dine in. But as people were coming in I took notice the bartender/waitress was not asking anybody to see their cards. A bit unsettling to say the least. Since it is a smaller establishment. (Limited tables and perhaps only about 40 dinners if full). Glad I went on at lunch time and not happy hour. I ordered there Grilled Chicken on toasted sourdough, it had lettuce, tomatoes, bacon and havarti cheese. It was a good thick sandwich. Bacon was cooked just right as well as the chicken. (It was very good,)😛 and plenty to eat with my choice of fries. They also have tater tots or sweet potato fries. Found out by asking some questions, about the restaurant, found out that a new owner purchased this place about 4 years ago. With that purchase should have been a bit of a make over, chairs a bit old and outdated. And walls could use a coat of paint. I suppose like most restaurants and the whole Covid pandemic, has not helped having extra income to do any redecorating.🛠🛢 Small, and causal local hole in the wall for locals, with good food, is good enough for 4 ⭐s with this visit.

Food is fine and the service was good. But forget about this “service fee” nonsense. Everything in my life has become more expensive over time, but only now my final bill needs an additional 2.5% fee after I pay taxes and the prices they put on the menu? Why not 2.5% on gas, groceries or car prices? Seems like a political message or a way for them to just get more money. I’m sure they didn’t raise the wages of every employee by 2.5%. Just raise the prices so I know up front what I’m paying, if you need to. The chicken sandwich would be 40¢ more.

Reminds me of a smaller upscale Applebee's with the central bar theme and the little kids and priggish people watching the adults consume alcohol at the bar. Don't be too loud during the dinner crowd. Not a place to drink cheap Beer with the Bro's after work !!!! more of a bring a first date so you can converse during dinner and decide if you might get lucky or a second date is worthy. Food OK nothing I would write home about, always ask your server for advice and recommendations about the eateries cuisine !!!!

8/25 - I received a call from the manager today and appreciate the effort taken to talk to an unhappy customer. I am hopeful that some of the issues we experienced will be resolved.

8/19 - We were really disappointed with our visit recently. We called in an order for takeout - pub burger, chicken sandwich, and steak salad. We were quite surprised to hear it would take 45 minutes. We were more surprised when we arrived and both the restaurant and outdoor seating were at about 35-40% capacity. And our food still wasn't ready. Part of the reason we chose to come in was for the $16 Fill er Up Friday growlers advertised in a recent email from the restaurant. We brought an empty growler in with us and looked over the beer list while we waited for the food. We asked about an interesting double IPA first but were told that the restaurant wasn't allowed to fill a growler with a double IPA. This seemed odd as we had gotten 2 earlier this week from a different restaurant. We ordered a different IPA and paid our tab for beer and food. The growler was $18.50. When we asked why the price wasn't $16, the server checked with someone in the kitchen (wearing a mask below their nose the whole 15 minutes we were there) who just shook their head and didn't come out. The server returned and said the marketing person had made a mistake and growlers were $18. Evidently there is no growler special at all on Fridays. And an apparent 50 cent markup, just because. There's more. Not only did the food take a long time and the advertised growler price ignored without even a "sorry", but the steak salad was missing the bacon. Thanks for a...

Things I like about this place: great outdoor sitting area that is dogs and kids friendly friendly staff and timely service good selection of beers and well drinks cosy game room Things that need work: food is not bad but isn't very good either; as my friend said - nothing to write home about. Since this place opened we've tried plenty of menu items but were rarely satisfies. In short, burgers are usually bland and dry as well as fries, fried cucumbers drip oil, cuban has so much mustard in it you could barely taste pork, chicken wrap is good but so messy - using some kind of sleeve or paper wrap may solve this issue. My favorite was lamb burger but it's long gone. furniture needs maintenance: some tables are not stable and others are sticky (not because of dirt but rather old/weird lacquer. love their booth sitting but benches are sooo hard my booty goes numb and back starts hurting after 15-20 min and I have to hurry and finish my meal. It would be nice to have some cushions. lacks overall cosiness - adding some artwork or accents may help.

All-in-all Normandy Park Ale House has great potential. With a little effort, it can easily become one of the best...
