We just came from the place so the memory is fresh. Do not go here if you want to get a meal served to you in a timely manner. We were there with our toddler, who is plenty experienced with restaurants. Ordered panner, lamb Tikka, and naan. First red flag, I asked if the panner was regular/plain paneer, was told yes, that was not the case. After 20 minutes or so it came fully covered on a red sauce, tasty but not toddler friendly as I expected from regular panner. After that we proceeded to wait for more than 70 minutes for the rest of our food. My toddler started getting anxy, we took him outside and gave him snacks, proceeded to ask for the food to be placed on to go containers and in good faith I paid for everything and even left tip. I waited for another 15 minutes and nothing, still no food. After that my husband went back inside and noticed how other people who arrived after us had just been given their food, that prompted him to request a refund for the food not received. The young woman completely dismissed him and ignored him so we decided to just cut our losses and leave so, lost $60 to this business. While we were there there was another young family, they also were about to leave and there were about 6 takeout people just waiting. Won't be back...
Read moreGiving this place 3 stars because service is not good, but the food was delicious. I’ll likely try it again as to go. Here’s my experience. My wife and I went in for dinner on Sunday night around 6 pm. We stood at the front for less than a minute and were told from away that they would be with us in two minutes. They then sat us down but the person who sat us down had to unload ingredients and supplies from a truck. That’s ok but he kept unloading even after he knew we were ready to order. On top of that there was 3 other people working that didn’t help him. One guy was wearing a hoodie and slides and acted like the “tech” trying to fix a phone and walking around wearing flip flops. He didn’t even help a customer that was standing in front of him for two minutes. There was an old man walking around just watching instead of helping. When our food arrived it didn’t come rice. Which they were making so we had to wait 2 minutes. Which by the way they didn’t pick up the menus after we ordered, which to me is a signal of the lack of basic restaurant training. Overall, the experience was not good and not fast. I would highly recommend you reconsider this place if you’re looking for a quick bites since...
Read moreIndian bite is a classic example where the chef believes in himself, in his recipes and in his culture ... and decides to make it as authentic as possible instead of catering to a taste that might require it to be watered down.
In their defense, taking a little more time to get the food done from fresh ingredients-- is just fine and people should not complain about the time it takes to make fresh food because we are so used to processed fast food. So make the time to slow down, breathe, relax, and enjoy the excellent recipes.
I lived in India for six years and I cook Indian food, and I can vouch for the chefs skill and the authenticity to the recipes just as they come out of Rajasthan for the biryani, and the Gujarati style Rogan Josh & Karahi type gravy in the stews, an...
