El Jefe Cantina — Restaurant in Norristown

They have rude security that have ego issues and will attack women. I was told by a bartender (Kevin) to grab my juice from the car since they only had soda available which I do not drink. So the juice I had wasn’t open or alcoholic so I proceeded to grab my juice from car. Once I got to the door again I let the security know and as I went to the door. One guy grabbed me and started to push and hit me away from the door until a bartender came out and stopped him and let me In. With the same drink they let me get. Once I went back to talk to an owner no one wanted to talk to me about the incident. With marks and bruises it wasn’t even worth attending. Especially because the owner won’t talk about these issues I left my info and never got a responds but he will talk to any women who seems interested in his ego…I know many women who met him and talk to him in different ways. Since then I have heard the security is still there working and apparently they are saying I tried to sneak a juice in when I clearly asked to bring it in. And also was told by Kevin who works there that I can get it. Also I was told by that security that I will be Swiss cheese as he walked to his car to get a gun. Very unprofessional and a liability obviously, all for a women with a juice that still went in with the juice when it was said in done. But I shouldn’t have bruises on me for attending a restaurant. Or getting threatened to lose my life over a juice and someone with ego issues. How do you go to a restaurant and have to worry about the people who is suppose to protect? I wasn’t a threat nor did I act as one. If they fix these issues maybe...

I never leave bad reviews, but this was honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant. From start to finish, the service was unprofessional and careless.

The bartender completely ignored us the entire time, never once acknowledging us while vaping and chatting with (what appeared to be) the manager. Someone else eventually took our order, but when I asked if they had corn tortillas (since I have a gluten allergy), I was told yes by a server wearing AirPods. When the food arrived, I asked again and was told with an eye-roll that they were actually flour. Not only was that dismissive, but it also could have had serious health consequences for me.

Despite trying multiple times, I could not get the bartender’s attention, and once our food came, we were never checked on again. To make it worse, another friend who joined us never even got served.

I truly don’t like leaving negative reviews, but this experience was embarrassing, frustrating, and unsafe. The lack of professionalism and care for guests, especially around allergies, is...

I just can't believe this..Me and my wife came all the way out there to enjoy this food and you want to charge me to enter You're establishment With all these kids you people have really lost your mind . As soon as you want To entertain the black community we have to pay a price. I thought this was a mexican restaurants. So now it's a club. I came a far away to try to get some of this food and I was highly upset.
