Visited last night as a rushed and impulse double date. Came in and was very well welcomed by the lady. She was ready for us since I called and made a reservation. Already, the menu was set and she was very friendly. She made jokes and was very informative. She gave us time to decide a couple times since it was our first time there. It turns out this place is AMAZING. Food was very well seasoned and cooked. There were four of us and each person ordered something different. Sushi, stew, steak and salmon as the entrees. Each one was flavorful. I recently had oral surgery so I had the stew with white rice. Soup was ‘soooo’ good and the beef was very tender and just made every spoonful easier. I tried the salmon also and the same thing. Just very well done. The steak from what I heard deserved another satisfying star. Same goes for the sushi. Gyoza, Dukbokki and pancake all were very good. So satisfying. I wish I could have been able to eat more and when I’m all better, I for sure will go back. I told the lady that I’ll be back. She was very nice and even stayed behind without making the atmosphere very bad since we ended up staying past their open hours. This location is very far from my home and I just happened to look in this area and made a quick decision. I’m very happy at the way that night went. Thank you...
Read moreWe went to celebrate a friend birthday dinner and the place had recently reopen. There were 25 of us in the party room. The party started at 6pm. The waitress took our drink order first and then took our meals 30 minutes later. At 8:30pm, we started to inquire as to why our appetizers and food was not on the table. After all we had been there 2 and half hours. The manager told me that staff called out and he only had 1 cook and our food would take at least another 30 minutes. The cook appeared to be an elderly Korean woman. Not only did she have to fulfill our party it there were others sitting at other tables as well. Unfortunately I had to leave, it was now 8:45pm. My advice to Management is if staff call out find other accommodation like serve appetizers only, or give discounts for late meals or close the store. But say something to the patrons. I felt deceive and was disappointed with this establishment. If you go in the future call first to see if they can...
Read moreGiving five stars for the great Jazz.. Food/service is probably 3.5-4 stars. I had the kolbi which at $28 is probably the priciest entree. Ordered medium rare, but it arrived well-done. Probably should have gone for the less proxy bulgogi if I'd known the beef I'd all cooked the same. Well seasoned, and comes with rice. Glad I ordered some reasonable edamame ($5) to get something green. Wife's specialty roll was pretty close to what was described (missing crunchy tempura) but was good and priced like most decent sushi purveyors. Drinks are very reasonable. I probably wouldn't make it a destination if it were not for the occasional legendary Jazz...
