Taqueria La Michoacana — Restaurant in Norristown

This place truly resembles authentic Mexican food! We came in for a late night dinner, and I am very glad we did! The decor inside the restaurant resembles an eatery right out of Mexico! The three courses I had, were all divine! The chips and salsa (Which come at no cost) are amazing! They make their own homemade tortilla chips, which come hot out of the oven! It is served with three different dips. Homemade Salsa, Green pepper sauce, and another one which I couldn't identify. I devoured all of them, and felt very satisfied once I finished! I ordered the tortilla soup as my next course, and Boy, was that great! They gave generous portions or tortilla chips, and amazingly, they were still crunchy while being bathed in the soup! For my third course, I ordered the Enfrijoladas, which were served in an enormous portion! Every component of the dish was delicious! I gladly ate the leftovers I had for lunch the next day! Altogether, I had the best experience ever eating at a Mexican restaurant! I will be sure to visit again when I return to...

I am a bit behind on posts … sorry about that … on Friday evening my Bestie Tara and I decided on trying one of the dozens of Mexican Restaurants in Norristown PA … we selected Taqueria La Michoacana … it was a traditional At most which was lovely … the wait staff were very attentive and did not communicate well in English … that’s okay because we do not communicate well in Spanish … time to learn … I ordered Beef Tostadas while Tara had Burritos in a Green Sauce with Refried Beans … I am not a Mexican Food expert by any stretch of the imagination … what I can say with 100% certainty is that the Tostadas I had were delicious … so very tasty … Tara loved her meal too … I don’t have a photo of the Flan I took home with me … it was fabulous … I definitely recommend this restaurant and give it 5 stars … LIVE LOVE LAUGH & THRIVE … 🇮🇱😎🇮🇱 #mexicancuisine #mexicanrestaurant #tostadas #CancerFree2024 #REMISSIONISTHEGOAL #EyeOnTheFuture #LiveLoveLaughAlways #cancerwarrior...

I've been here a handful of times many years ago and always raved about it. I finally got to take my husband because we were in town. I really talked it up. Food came out in probably 10 minutes (we were there for lunch and it wasn't busy) the food was room temperature. Nothing was warm. I am so confused how it came out so quick but it had no heat. Felt uncomfortable sending back the 3 entrees we got. From what I did taste it was complete lack of flavor and didn't seem fresh. My husband had 2 bites and said absolutely not. Our server was very nice and friendly but I know what can happen in kitchens if you send something back. And definitely not all 3. Im sad to say we will not be back.
