5 Stars - Unforgettable Experience! We had the most amazing experience at El Silverado Mexican Restaurant in Norristown! My family of five arrived just as they were closing after what was clearly a busy Cinco de Mayo. Despite that, the owner, Johnny, personally welcomed us in. He insisted we take our time, seated us graciously, and offered us the full menu with no rush at all. To top it off, Johnny treated my husband and me to complimentary margaritas and Coronas in celebration of the holiday—such a kind gesture, especially since he didn’t even know we had driven over 30 minutes to get there after my husband, a truck driver, finished work late. The food was absolutely incredible—generous portions, full of flavor, and very reasonably priced. The entire staff, from the waitresses to the kitchen staff, were warm, professional, and never made us feel like an inconvenience. We made sure to tip them well in gratitude for their kindness and hard work. This is what true customer service looks like. We are so thankful for the hospitality and can’t wait to come back. Some friends were in town and this place is a few blocks from my place so we checked it out. I had the Coctel de camerón. It was delish! You get a ton of shrimp. My friends got empanadas, fajitas, and the chimichangas. They all loved their meal as well. The lady working was super nice. She didn't know any English but that doesn't bother me at all. Translator apps work in real time these days so no big deal. If you are one of those people who gets mad because everyone doesn't know english take your bigotry elsewhere these nice people don't need it. The only reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 was for atmosphere. It was SO hot and humid in there. Luckily what I ordered was cold but they should have the temp adjusted so their guests can eat comfortably. It's possible the A/C was just broken so it's not nessecarily their fault but worth noting. I have wanted to try this restaurant for some time now. We finally made it and it was everything I had hoped it would be. Our waitress was friendly and welcoming. She was patient as we peppered her with questions and made recommendations accordingly. The place is clean and comfortable. The food. Portions were abundant and the quality was very good. The dishes were flavorful and well balanced. We left completely satisfied and are looking forward to returning and trying more of their food. ...
