A staple in the community of Norristown!

Quick service and everyone knows everyone else! Always a crowd in the mornings but always a seat at the counter.

I went with the standard this morning of two eggs over easy, cheese grits, double bacon, home fries and rye toast.

The eggs were nice and runny which added to the flavor of my cheese grits which I dropped on top. The bacon was crissssssspy, but not burnt! Perfect! The home fries could have been hotter but I dipped them in the grits so it was ok.

I complained to Dawn that there was hair on my plate.....it was mine! LOL! I mean I did just come over from Culbreath's barber shop on Arch Street! Hahahaha!

Happy Birthday to my server, Dawn! She's 29 today, "wink, wink"!

If you park out back, well you would only know there is parking our back if you are from the area! But if you do and use the back entrance, watch that one and only step as you exit the back dining area! Quickest way to announce that you are not a regular! Falling off that step is hilarious, too everyone...

Lou’s is a great place to stop in for a fast and delicious bite to eat. They’re probably best known for their “Zep” sandwich but you can grab other sandwiches, cheesesteaks etc. Stepping into Lou’s can offer up a bit of nostalgia along with the tasty food. The counter space and interior will take you back in time to an old school luncheonette type environment that is enjoyable to sit at while eating in or waiting to get your food to go. On this particular visit, I grabbed a cheesesteak with American and fried onions. It was delicious as usual. A Conshohocken Bakery long roll with a substantial amount of tender steak, plenty of perfectly melted cheese and they weren’t shy with the fried onions. Definitely hit the spot. While Lou’s may not be on everyone’s cheesesteak radar, they are well worth...

Lou's Sandwich Shop has been around for years in Norristown. It's a place everyone goes to at some point. They have a excellent reputation for their food and service. Their Breakfasts are 1 of my favorites. Anything you like they have. And you get plenty of coffee to drink. At lunch time I go there for their steak sandwiches and hoagies which are the best in the area. You can get take out, buy lottery tickets or newspapers and this place is always busy. That alone speaks for their reputation. All the people who work there are friendly and nice and you never have to wait long for your food. They have parking in the rear of the bldg. And you can also park in the front of their store. This place is a icon in Norristown and I highly recommend anyone to stop in and get the...

Came here with my uncle and girlfriend for lunch. We were in for a treat. This place is definitely one of those secret restaurants that have been lost in time. The decor, vibe, taste, and service were all great and reminiscent of an old and classic era 😍 We had a cheesesteak zep combo which was stuffed to the brim and amazing as well as a fried fish sandwich accompanied by some fried with a cheese dip. All to die for and perfectly on point. They had a very enticing ice cream shake on the menu, but sadly it was their last day of that week open so they had run out of milk. I’m looking forward to next time.

Disappointing. Saw they had a garlic bread cheesesteak on the menu, and immediately jumped in my car to go try it. Everything lived up to the hype, including good onions and roll, but the steak was bone dry and sank the rest of the sandwich. Also, these people have a Trump/Pence sticker on their grill, which turned me off, but didn’t stop me from at least trying to judge them on their food alone. Old-school diner feel, good service, but just too many other places around worth trying that the “Home of the Zep” sandwich simply isn’t worth a second look for me.
