This is absolutely the longest review I have ever written! I have waited so long because I was hoping never to have to write a negative review. For about the late last 8 months I have had a different experience here then usual. I have waited and waited to write this review hoping the service would get better. Unfortunately we go about once a week and this just isn't happening I've been coming here since the 80's! The food and service WAS fantastic! Now there are 2 different dining experiences based on the chef and wait staff Our fish sometimes is dry and over cooked or opposite, Once my stuffing was literally like soup. If we mention our $20 fish is overdone and the waitresses brings a fresh new plate it usually takes about 15 or 20 minutes. Which makes everyone at the table feel awkward about eating while someone sits at the table hungry with no meal. So either some people courteously wait and their food gets cold or other people eat their dinner by themselves. Either way it's not the best experience. Not to mention the waitstaff seems to have an attitude. Should I suck it up and eat rubbery food? I wouldn't eat this at my house, why would I eat this at a restaurant? They have never once offered an apology, never mind a gesture such as a few dollars off the meal or even a free dessert. The manager has never come to the table and addressed it. Should we feel bad for wanting our food to be cooked right? The last time we ate there our bill was close to $100, which is expected. I would at least like to have my dirty plates picked up before dessert is served. With the old chef and wait staff, I would've given a 5 star review, for sure. Now when the food comes they literally hand it to the first person / customer at the booth, then that customer has to hand it to whomever is getting that dinner. Once the plate was so hot it hurt my mom's hand. The waitress said nothing! Usually servers at least place the food down, not hand it directly to us. Next they never clear our table. We go often and this has been happening for about the last 8 months. The food is great but when I get my dessert I don't want my fish and dirty place mat in front of me. I'm smelling all of the condiments, coleslaw, fish, sauce, lemons or whatever from the dinners, all with my sundae in front of me. If I want to this I would eat at Pedrins :) In every picture I've taken of there desserts,, there is always a dirty table surrounding the dessert. I haven't posted desert pictures for this reason. I really hoped they would get better because I love the food. I always feel like the waitresses have an attitude because our food is overcooked, rubbery, dry or something is just not perfect and we speak up . Should we not say anything then pay good money? Should we just never come back to this restaurant? I'm really hoping this review will help them open their eyes and step up their game. I would love the Boston fish market to be the way it used to be. Great service and quality food. That's not asking much. They are other restaurants in town charging a fraction of the price with...

Came to down for an event at the Mass MoCA. After the event, seafood sounded good. Landed at Boston Sea Foods. The 80's called... they need their ambiance back... The place is in need of a serious update all the way around. Wood paneling and dimly lit, patched together bathroom... Extensive menu with good quality ingredients. I ordered the baked salmon with lobster stuffing. The food was HOT, which was pleasant because it remained hot throughout the meal. The food matched the decor in terms of prestation (again reminds me of the 80s.) The sauce served over the top was slightly broken/ separated but still tasted good. Generous portions of both salmon and lobster were delicious for the first few bites. After that, the butter drenched bread crumbs quickly overwhelmed the dish and kind of ruined it for me. I was able to scrape most of it away and finished what I could. The green beans were fresh and crisp, which is the way i like them. The side salad was made with iceberg lettuce, which I was disappointed in. I look forward to a heartier romaine/spring mix salad when dining out. Service was good. I would be willing to give them another try, but hopefully, I will make better choices next time in terms...

When we were seated we were pleased to see that there are plexiglass partitions between each booth. We like that as it feels safer from Covid and other contaminates we might get exposed to in a public setting. I ordered broiled haddock and my husband ordered broiled stuffed haddock. Both dishes were quite good. I was disappointed with our server. We hardly saw her and had to wait much longer than expected to get our drinks, then another long wait for our order to be taken. After we were finished with our meal we waited an extremely long time to get our check. Eventually a different server took care of it for us. We appreciated her help. Our server finally entered the dining room where we were sitting as we were leaving but never acknowledged us or thanked us for coming. I used to be a waitress and trained the wait staff where I worked. Something I enjoyed very much. Helping a young person who had never done this type of work and helping them be a successfully appreciated server. This server needs...

Came in while visiting family. I had the seafood casserole & dragonberry cocktail and shared a bowl of lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was creamy, buttery and had plenty of lobter chunks in it. By far my favorite part of the meal. Seafood casserole included shrimp, scallops and stuffed crab in a garlic butter sauce. It had a bit too much stuffing for my taste, scallops were a tad bit over cooked and it could've used a bit more of the garlic butter sauce. The amount of seafood was plentiful. The meal came with 3 sides(salad, veggie, potato) so you do get a lot of food for the price. If you like onion rings definitely order them as an appetizer or as a side. The onions are thinly sliced, the batter is well seasoned and crisp. It wasn't my favorite meal, but the other adults in our group enjoyed theirs. Our server was friendly.

We sat there for over 15 minutes without anyone taking our order. everytime she passed by i asked for a menu, and the waitress completely ignored me everytime. We left soon after she attended to the people who had just arrived and sat right behind us. I don't know if they acted that way because we are Hispanic but we felt very unwelcome. We ended up going to Freight Yard Pub and the food and the service were amazing! Really hospitable, fun and the food was delicious
