Punto Paisa Piqueteadero Colombian Resta — Restaurant in North Arlington

I ordered from this place about at least 3 times if not more but I will no longer order from this place. Every time I have ordered I am always told to hold on because the person who picks the phone up initially speaks little to no English and the order is always wrong. Today our order came out to about 70 dollars and after it took them over an hour to deliver the food 10 minutes away the order was incorrect and missing several items. We were informed they were out of pork chops so we ordered beef ribs, chicken fingers and fries, chicken quesadilla, and chicken cutlet salad. Upon arrival, we were given a chicken sandwich, cheese quesadilla, chicken cutlet salad, and beef ribs and missing the sides for beef ribs. When I called back informative them the order was wrong I had to wait to speak to someone who spoke English and the lady was going back and forth with me on the phone that's what was ordered when that is incorrect I then asked to speak with someone else which was the delivery driver. I ask for the items I ordered to be redelivered and he said they could be delivered in the next 20 minutes. We waited an additional 40 minutes and still were missing the sides. Also, I started when I placed the order I will be paying with a card and she said okay they usually have the machine upon delivery instead the driver said he was told we were paying cash so I had to give the driver my card so he can give the card information over the phone. The customer service, was not great because she was arguing back and forth about the order instead of trying to correct...

Found this restaurant through Marriott Eat Around Town. Upon entering, and it may just be the area, the odor inside was very strong. It smelt like sewage. I decided to stay and eat because the menu online look really good and I didn't want to let the smell keep me from dining.

The lady quickly came up to seat me and take my drink order. She did a nice job of waiting on me. Seemed pretty friendly but unfortunately my Spanish is a little light.

I ordered carne asada and asked if there was an option that came with eggs. This again as part of the communication issue but I was not upset about it. She did provide me a side of eggs but I was pretty taken back when I got the check to see that it was $7.25. I can understand a few bucks but that was pretty excessive for what little bit of eggs that I received. The carne asada was okay but not really seasoned and kind of dry. The arepa was okay as well but didn't floor me. Anticipate there's some other foods on the menu that are good.

All in all it was an okay experience. I do wish they would have been more upfront with the price of eggs or at least offer a meal that comes with everything that you see in my photo. I spent almost $30 by the time you took the food the cost of the bottle of water, the credit card fee and the tip. I'd probably venture elsewhere for a better meal in the long run...

My review is based on the service and not the food. My husband ordered a chicken in mushroom sauce. Once eating it he realized it had pork. Before returning the dish I looked at the menu to see if we had missed mention of pork in the dish which we had not. This is not the first time this happens at a restaurant, usually restaurants profusely apologize for not mentioning it especially since we do not eat pork due to religious reasons. Once the bill arrived, I noticed they charged the dish in full. If they had charged half I would have been ok with it considering my husband ate the sides. Once I approached the waitress, she proceeded to argue with me and then another female joined her in arguing with me. I was told it would not be removed because I should have asked. I ordered chicken not pork! 2 ladies continued telling me I should have asked to which I responded you should have mentioned it. I am Colombian and I understand many dishes carry pork like tamales or the beans but never in my life have I seen pork in a mushroom sauce. After mentioning I would not tip the female charged me half of the dish. Never in my life have I had a restaurant attempt to charge me for a mistake they made. Needless to say...
