We are on a motorcycle road trip from NYC…. I came across this quaint little side of the road spot and I am THRILLED that I did!! The name had me, than when we walked in to this old school type place…. With lots of counter seating and a handful of tables… I knew it was going to be great but they EXCEEDED all my expectations I am the PICKIEST eater there is and this was the ABSOLUTE most AMAZING breakfast I have had on this trip and it might just be the BEST breakfast I have ever had in my entire life!!!! Everything was cooked exactly how we asked for it! (Scrambled eggs w/chopped up ham, extra crispy hash browns, rye toast) They have bottles on the counter with ketchup, syrup and what I thought was jelly but it turned out to be the most delicious jam ever. Marion berry (hybrid of a blackberry & Loganberry) The service was top notch…. The waitress was extremely friendly & attentive. She answered all my annoying questions (picky eater like I mentioned above) My coffee cup was never left empty…. Food was made to order right there behind the counter..the cook even engaged in the convo about the Marion Berry jam….. they even sold me a pint size container to bring n back to NYC! If you are passing through the area or even have to go a bit out of your way it’s DEFINITELY a must go!!! You will NOT be disappointed! A few pictures of the place and the jam of course. No pictures of the meal b/c we just were enjoying it so much we forgot to take any….! Thanks for the AMAZING BREAKFAST...

We have been traveling a long distance came into the town of North Bend and I had Googled amazing breakfast resturants and pancake mill and mom's kitchen both had great reviews and so by the reviews and pictures we stoped here (mom's kitchen) We ordered our food and the food came out pretty fast but the stuffed hash browns were not stuffed, I inquired about it and was brought back some hash browns with the toppings on top , like they were in a rush to hurry up and do a quick fix. Mind u they r almost 6$ for a side. Then I asked for the blue berry pancake sandwhiches which come with bacon and eggs. All of it was just thrown on top of a pancake and not a sandwich,(no biggie, I'll just fold it into a sandwhich) as soon as I folded it the pancake batter spilled out of the pancake and was not though ly cooked!!! So that was it, I didn't eat decided the rest of my family can finish thier plates while I sat outside and waited to go to mcdonalds on the rest of my way back to souther cali. As im typing this mu son ordered strawberry panckes and found burnt hashbrows in his strawberry pancake...Thanks but no thanks we will never stop here again. Nor recommend this place to...

This will be the first little restaurant greeting you to North Bend so you see will it from hwy 101. You do have to keep look out the place is small and on your right. Parking is extremely limited. Do not let that deter you it will be worth it. Best breakfast in the area hands down. We locals know and go. The only thing I do not like was how hot it can get in this little diner. It is small and they would be well suited to invest in an air conditioner as you are literally in mom's kitchen with the grill and oven is just beyond the bar. They have the traditional bar stool seating facing the waitresses and kitchen. they also have window seats with customers seated at comfortable distance. (This has always been a big deal to me even pre COVID) The prices are the best in the area. I love the hash browns with biscuits and sausage gravy and my husband is crazy for ham and eggs. Both breakfast and lunch is served. Everyone is super nice and attentive no problems the place is clean and...

The food was just okay, nothing special and definitely over priced for what it was. The only notable thing is that the service was terrible. We were seated at the counter as the tables were all taken, but then were asked to move down and sit right next to strangers so more people could squeeze in on the other side of us. I kept bumping elbows with the stranger next to me and was extremely uncomfortable for the entire meal. It was like pulling teeth to get a refill on my coffee, I had to go somewhere else after breakfast to get another cup! The service was very slow and the waitress basically ignored us, we even had a hard time getting their attention to let us pay the bill and leave.

Local comfort food is what this place is all about. One waitress, one cook and one dishwasher were keeping things running smoothly for this 30 seat eatery on a busy Wednesday morning for breakfast. You are likely to overhear conversations about timber harvest, fishing, and local gossip, so truly a local place. Very friendly feeling being in this place. The food portions are HUGE (at least the breakfast plates I saw). So, if you’re looking for a big breakfast at an old school dinner this is your stop right on the 101 (easy parking on side streets).
