My husband and I went in tonight 6/29 10 min prior to closing, sign said 7 pm.. The girl working was helping a family prior to us. We were next you could tell she was flustered. It was hot in there I asked if she was hot she said no she should have been off. My husband wanted a cake cone she said she was out and made some comment that she would have them but she put them away because she was closed. I said your sign and google maps say you close at 7. She goes I closed early because I have to go get my Niece. I was going to get ice cream but decided not to as you definitely felt she didn’t want to help you. This place is awesome. As soon as I hit the door, I could smell my childhood. It's amazing how the aroma can knock off 40 years within a second. It's like I was 7 years old again standing in the middle of Quaker Square in Akron, Ohio, where so many different styles of confectionery were made. It takes a lot for me to recall that at this point in life, but it's instinatinious every time I walk through the store. The store is immaculate, and the staff is amazing, and their products are out of this world. Plus, since it's Christmas time, if you go in, you can get free hot chocolate with marshmallows and sprinkles. It's always a fun time there with my 6 year old son. There's nothing better. This place should be more well known. They have novelty candy, nostalgic candy, they have chocolates, various sweets, ice cream, made on site flavored popcorn (their vanilla popcorn tastes like Rice Crispy Treats!) coffee, drinks of all types, and soon they will have a deli open with barbecue sandwiches! The owners are two sisters and they are creating a very fun place to come and grab a delicious bite of goodness. The shop is clean and well organized. Also, I just found out that they can also special order candies from all over the world! This is a spot to take your kids, grandkids and just yourself.
