We had a terrible experience. You should avoid this place. It is the only place in the region that will demand that you show a vaccination card. I set one foot in the door, they told me about the policy, and I chose to leave. The employees yelled at me as I was leaving and the owner accosted me in the parking lot, screaming aggressively in my face about their policy when I had already decided to leave. They can have whatever policies they want, and I can choose not to buy their overpriced ice cream. That isn't good enough for them, so expect to get yelled at, screamed at, and insulted if you choose to leave because you don't choose to live in fear. As you can see from his responses here, the owner is super irrational and unhinged, and very defensive. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere where they will be nice if you choose to exercise your right not to wear a mask, and not to show your private medical records. This owner needs therapy to help with his anger issues. He has so little to do that he responds to every negative review and attacks the reviewers. (As you can see below, his response proves my point. All I did was leave when his employees started yelling at me. They claimed that their guidelines are laws, which they are not, and Oregon guidelines do not require proof of vaccination. When the owner got in my face he told me I better get a lawyer and sue him. That's when I told him I was a lawyer, and again pointed out that these guidelines are not laws. The funniest part is that all I chose to do is leave and his employees and he lost their minds. This...
Read moreWas excited about the amount of flavors but ended up not enjoying really any of their ice cream or sherbet. It also did not seem like there were actually 58 flavors. They had maybe a handful of more unique flavors but otherwise pretty basic. The sherbets tasted awful to me, like moth balls. The ice creams were not very creamery or flavorful. Did appreciate the non-dairy options though they said they had coconut based but did not. They gave us samples which was nice and the $2 half scoop was a great deal.
In response -- I did not come the day of the posting. I was not aware of those in the back and the staff said there were no coconut options at the time.
My correction, both the sherbet and the sorbet tasted awful like moth balls, that one I cant get over.
I commend you for making your own ice cream, daily, with real ingredients but somehow quality quantity was lost here. The user experience of "creating" my own flavor did not come across well by either looking at the menu or interacting with staff.
I've lived on both coasts and was visiting from Portland - I definitely know great local, ice cream, dairy free or not.
Cheers on your success but I am not interested in another visit. Additionally, based on your review responses, I think you're failing to understand the concept of...
Read moreI have never been nor will I ever do so. I am however, here to review based off how I’ve seen public representation and how valid customer issues are handled via social media representation and support. Recently a customer voiced a very glaring issue and vehement treatment she received from the OWNERS. Not just employees but the OWNERS. Over their own issues. Then when that is voiced they have measly employees throw up a massive sob story of how they’re “treated bad by people every day” and uses that as some excuse and validation as to why they should be more than allowed to treat people badly. Sorry, welcome to working I. The service industry. Mind you, the person with the issue was not a rude or mean customer. Hence the reason for said issue. The remarks made by the EMPLOYEE towards the poster and the customer that had the issue are slanderous, passive and aggressive. Claiming “oh I heard your call etc.” and leaving laugh reactions. They should have a complaint filed with the BB and I hope they do I may even do so myself after what I have seen. Unprofessional, petty and dramatic a good business doesn’t make excuses for why a customer had a bad experience. They look for a resolution and carry on. Horrible representation. I, as well as about 300 other people are now thinking this....
