China Garden — Restaurant in North Carolina

I give this place 1 star at best. Let me tell you, chef Robert Irvine would freak out. The soft drink cooler was dirty, leaking and some kind of green goo was running down the front and onto the floor. The pictures were old, old, old and that 1 alleged Chinese picture on the wall was falling down in it's frame. The lady at the front counter was very rude and one of the cooks was steadily mean muggin me the entire time we were there. The ceiling had water stains and the kitchen seemed to be en disarray, You know the adage "a place for everything and everything in it's place"? They don't. Now lets get to the food: I had sweet and sour chicken; bland, bland. Same with the fried rice, bland and too few vegetables. My daughter had the ribs, or should I say boot leather. The General Tzo's chicken was under done, the Japaneses dumplings were horribly under cooked, The egg rolls were over cooked, the alleged crap rangoon,,,,oops, crab rangoon.....old, chewy....Giving it one star is being overly generous. Now, letting my food settle, I'm hoping I don't get sick with tomain or worse, diarrhea. Needless to say, me an my family will not be returning..EVER. They show a sanitation rating of "A" with 93%. I don't know how they got that unless Stevie Wonder was...

I ordered the sweet and sour chicken combo tonight. The chicken is an overcooked, dried out, hardened mess. It was truly not edible. I don’t know how they could send this food out of the door in good conscience?

In addition to that, the sweet and sour sauce was an odd dark color. I googled causes and most explanations point towards it being expired or near-expired. I would not be surprised in the least.

Last time I ordered I received overcooked, dry chicken, but not to this extent. I was hoping it was a one-off, but not so. Lesson learned, I’m done with them. Based on their apparent low standards, I wonder if they also own the one on Buffalo Lake Road? I think it’s fair to say, you’d probably be less angry if you flushed $20 down the toilet instead of wasting it on this so-called food. It’s getting really hard to find any decent American-Chinese food...

These people DO NOT CARE about your satisfaction, the only thing they care about is your money. This is the FIFTH TIME in a row they've messed up our order, after confirming verbally & visually what we ordered several times before walking away. They've given us the wrong meal, the wrong sauce, ommitted our add-on items, left out entire meals. They don't even follow their own menu, if you pay for a combination plate that comes with an egg roll & fried rice THEY WILL NOT GIVE YOU THE ADD-ONS YOU PAID FOR unless you expressly ask. & Then they'll just say "oh you want the combination plate, lemme change that" with NO CHANGE TO THE TOTAL, they're absolutely going to take your money either way. There's no miscommunication, they just don't give a crap about getting it correct, they're going to give you what they give you & expect you not to come back...
