Edited to discuss food poisoning! Several issues with this place. There is no 'dine in' option. If you tell them 'dine in', they'll hand you your order in a to-go bag & point you to a tiny table where you're expected to then UNPACK your order to eat it. There are also no drinks to be had, unless you purchase a bottle. At that point, I might as well just go home!
If the service wasn't enough to turn me away, the decline of their food quality certainly has. I kid you not, the miso soup tasted like dishwater; it was inedible. The egg rolls tasted like bland onion-stuffed mush with an overcooked shell. & The rolls were subpar at best.
The last time we went in, we placed a togo order that took, brace yourself, AN HOUR (it was 2 sushi rolls & a dinner plate) to make. We wanted to give them another try today, but the foods honestly not even worth their prices. & They have the nerve to ask for a tip, FOR WHAT? Their staff is rude, the food isn't that great, the dine-in option is a joke, & I would actually have a better experience going to Sakura down the street. At least there I don't have to pay for a single portion of WATER.
Edit: We knew something was wrong immediately after eating a substantial amount of this garbage. We were up sick half the night & when we returned the next night to let them know that something went wrong with their product & insist on a refund, they made the most asinine excuses ("bring the product back", what do you want me to do, dig the diarrhea out of the septic tank & bring it to you??; "which item in your order made you sick", how on EARTH would anyone be able to identify that, etc). When it was clear I wasn't taking their excuses, they repeatedly called me a LIAR & refused to refund anything. I hope those people have the day...
Read moreWalked in and wasn’t greeted AT ALL as if I never walked into this establishment…although there was no one in the restaurant…nonetheless I ordered and realized i was charged roughly $1.50 per basic sushi roll (California Roll) that was roughly the size of a nickel (no exaggeration) i ask for a sauce to go with my over priced sushi and the cashier decides to say sure no problem we charge $0.50 per sauce. Like wait what…the least they could do after a customer spends roughly $1.50 for a bite of rice and veggies is provide the sauce…long story short please do not waste your time and efforts going to a place that one, doesn’t even recognize their customers and two, over charge customers for everything they provide. I’m actually shocked they didn't charge me for seating while i waited for my sushi. This restaurant only cares about one thing and that is the green in your pocket that makes their green grow even faster and it’s quite obvious. I have had better tasting sushi for alot less in the area with free sauce because I was a paying customer...
Read moreHoly moly. This place has gone down hill FAST. To be honest, the food has never impressed us. The teriyaki chicken looked like boiled chicken with a small drizzle of flavorless sauce on it, but it’s close by and good enough for a filling, yet disappointing meal. Tonight? The guy working the register this evening freaking HATES his job with a passion. I wasn’t greeted and he looks at you like you’re annoying because you dared to smile and say “hello”. I’ve been sitting here for 30 minutes and have watched him interact with several people and he is incredibly rude to each person (so at least it wasn’t just me, I guess?) I didn’t even know he’d rung up my order because he didn’t say anything and then just walked off. It wasn’t until I sat there looking confused for several moments until I noticed the machine was asking for payment. I mean, come on!! I don’t expect anyone to be stoked working on a Friday night, but could you at least tell me my freaking total? Not one word was spoken to me....
