Their Grandma's pizza is the best, hands down. The cheese actually has flavor - it's not just... 'there' like other pizza places are; the sauce is supremely flavorful, and the dough is always crispy, not soggy.
Their regular pizzas are okay, and not my bag (perhaps just personal preference). Nothing too standout about them.
Their strombolis/calzones are really good, and it's the first pizza place I've had that doesn't have a 'soggy' calzone (Maybe it's not supposed to be 'crispy', but I've found I love a little bit of crisp - the kind that makes that delightful 'scraping' sound when you run a utensil over it, while not being crunchy). I've had 5 or so from here, and they have been consistently good.
The chicken that goes on/in their pizza/calzones leaves a bit to be desired - it definitely isn't super high quality, but I've never come across any gristley/chewy chicken.
Their Divano's Salad is really good with their house balsamic dressing - it is (or was?) the kind of dressing that had a STRONG balsamic base, and it really hit the mark on balsamic flavor. I don't know if they've gotten rid of this though, as the last two times I've ordered it, they haven't sent their house balsamic -- they sent a balsamic vinaigrette that was clearly store-bought (or near enough to make no difference). Not good at all. Really hoping this was just a 'supply' issue, and not a permanent change; if the latter, then I definitely won't order the salad ever again.
Would definitely recommend giving them a try - especially the Grandma's pizza, which is my absolute favorite.
[edit] Owner has since clarified that nothing has changed with their salad, which is GREAT to hear! Sounds like this could have been a mix up through one way or another, so next time I order online, I'll be calling to clarify that I want the balsamic glaze. I would 100% recommend this salad if you...
Read moreI have always had great experiences here and today was horrific. After placing my order at 3:56 I was informed it would be ready by 4:46pm. My wife waits in the car and at 4:57pm goes inside to get the food and was told the order was not hung up and they were sorry that they were just then going to start the order. My wife waits an additional 20 minutes in the car on the order and then gets it. I saw a credit of $8.50 cents on a $57 dollar order plus tip. I called the store directly asking how they came up with the credit amount and was told I needed to speak to a manager. A lady picked up the phone and said she was the manager Eliza and told me that the credit was good because we received the food. Her attitude was horrific on the phone and the way she was talking to me was very disrespectful and un called for. I told her about how she was talking to me and she said she did not care and put me on hold without telling me anything and said I would receive a call from someone else. I told her that her attitude is unacceptable and unprofessional. I would never allow one of my employees to ever speak to a client or guest the way she did. I do not write a lot of reviews and this place has always been a really good place to have employees like this run customers off is likely to be the outcome here. It’s true one bad experience will cost a business money but I will not recommend this place to anyone anymore although I’ve been going here for years. It’s sad to lose this place knowing it was a top choice for me...
Read moreI do not recommend. In fact I am so dumbfounded by the amateur hour nature of this order that I am COMPELLED to leave a review.
Bland. Cold. Boring. The Knots sat in a river of oil. The mozzarella sticks were cold and crumbly not hot and gooey as they should have been. I had the Chicken Parmigiana, it was flaccid and the breading was a moist paste that had more fluid than taste. The chicken was so overcooked that it had to be chewed as if it were jerky. The pasta that came with it was flavorless, devoid of salt or pepper or any noticeable herbs or spices, a sauce from a jar would have been 10X better.
We tried to eat it, but ended up tossing it in the trash rather than trying to power through it.
As for the order? I set my order pick up time for 70 minutes in the future from time of payment. They contacted me 20 minutes into order saying it was ready. This leads me to believe that it was a precooked or left over meal or along those lines. And really, How can you mess up cheese sticks? Really, how? jeez.
Would he have dined in their place I would have sent the meal back and left after explaining, politely, my dissatisfaction.
Look at my pics, the pasta dish was bland, even after adding my own spices I could not finish it. Look at the cheese sticks, see how drenched in oil they are? And how the cheese simply crumbles?
I give this a two star, mainly because I've only been there once. I...
