ALDI — Local services in Clayton

My wife has been coming here for a while now. No issues until today. I came with my wife shopping today, and brought my service dog with me, who I take everywhere. She was not being a nuisance of any kind, if anything she was brightening people's day as we walked around. That was until I was very rudely approached by an assistant manager, who refused to believe my dog was a service animal, and told me to leave because she wasn't specifically wearing a harness. She had a leash on that clearly said "service dog", and state and federal law does not require identification of any kind. It is also illegal for her to even ask for it. But she chose to make a scene and treat me like trash, like I was trying to fake my way to bring a pet inside. I was so embarrassed and upset that I had to leave, but my wife spoke to the manager. To his credit, he did apologize for what happened, but that does not make up for what happened. All employees need to be educated on how to treat people with service animals, and my family will not be spending another dime at ALDI until this employee is dismissed and corrective actions are taken. And if you require any kind of accommodation, especially access with a service animal, I would shop elsewhere to avoid the disrespect that I was...

I’ve only been to Aldi a handful or times and I just have to say, that I absolutely adore the one lady who I usually see working nights there. I don’t remember her name but she is pregnant and wears glasses, and an absolute delight. She also always has the CUTEST nails. Every time I’m in the store, she says hi and asks how I am doing, and will make small talk with me. She will lead me to whatever I’m searching for and always is truthful about what products she likes and which she doesn’t really care for. She makes me look forward to coming in because her personality is everything you’d want in a retail worker and she cracks some extremely funny jokes. She knows her audience and is very aware of what type of customers she can make small talk with, and which just want to be in and out. She also is always up doing something and I joke with her about how I always see her running around doing it all and how she needs to sit before the baby falls out. Absolutely love going to this specific location because of her....

In the last month I have had at least 2 serious issues with this location in regards to curbside pickup. The first was when I had next to no communications while they shopped my order until I get a text saying an associate is heading out with my order followed by your order is complete. I never received the notification that my order was ready for pickup therefore I was not there to get it. The only positive is that I did get a full refund. The second issue happened just today. I had scheduled my pickup for between 6 and 7pm (the only time slot available) and they didn't even start shopping until almost 7. By the time they finished shopping and sent me the link it was already 8pm. Before my son, who was picking up my order for me, could reach the store I got an email saying my order had been canceled. Needless to say because of these 2 incidents, and a few other minor issues, I will not be returning...
