Do you like those stale, crusty looking things in a box that pass for donuts at your local supermarket? If you do, then sadly, this place isn’t for you ☹️
HOWEVER, if you’re looking for A real honest to goodness donut shop where they bake the donuts onsite and you can smell the freshness, we’ll you won’t be disappointed in Donut Daily.
The smell of freshly baked donuts just smacks you right in the face, and if you’re like me you don’t mind it at all.
When was the last time you had a warm, soft chocolate crueler just waiting to be met with a hot cup of coffee? Or a cinnamon bun, you know the ones, where you unwrap the layers until you hit the chewy center?
Donut Daily provides a large assortment of fresh and warm donuts to fill just about any palate.
I’m giving them 4 stars only because they only had 3 chocolate crullers on a pan of about 40, and most people love chocolate. Plenty of other chocolate choices but only 3 crullers? And also, having been a small business owner most of my life, they should be running some type of special, seeing as they are new and want to attract more customers. Perhaps a bakers dozen for the price of a dozen for the first 30 days?
The shop is small but the young lady who took my order was very nice and made sure to ask me several times if there was anything else I needed.
Today’s order consisted of 6 cinnamon buns, 3 chocolate crullers and 3 chocolate topped donuts. The total came $19.75. (The cinnamon buns are a little bit more, but that is to be expected).
Go ahead and give them a try. We can support a brand new small business and enjoy a donut and a cup of joe at the same time.
Next time I go in I’ll take some pictures. They’re a bit hard to spot from Hwy 42. They are behind the Cookout Hamburger joint, so if you’re coming from the freeway I-40, you’ll make a left from Hwy 42 and then a quick right or a right turn from Hwy 42 and then a quick right off you’re coming in the...
Read moreTERRIBLE!! We thought we would try supporting a small business instead of Dunkin but boy was it a mistake!! We walked in at 11:53am on a Saturday. The woman in front of us bought several boxes of donuts and emptied multiple flavor options. I assumed the staff would be prepared and have more donuts but I was wrong. They stated that they did not have any more donuts. We approached an absolutely BARREN donut case. It was markedly pitiful.
While trying ascertain the flavors of the remaining “options” (I use this word very loosely), one of the workers began to aggressively shove the shelves around as if our presence in the store was an inconvenience to her. She was slamming the shelves around like she was trying to teach them a lesson, it was ridiculous.
We felt obligated to purchase something after waiting so long so we got a blueberry donut. As soon as I tried to get it out of the bag I could tell the texture was wrong so it was deposited directly into the trash. Back to Dunkin we go! Save yourself the hassle and disappointment, don’t bother...
Read moreBest donuts around . If they have any of the blueberry fritters in stock, I highly suggest you get one. I love bakeries. They are my thing. I have been to bakeries all over the world and I love to review their food. The donuts here are actually amazing. Well worth a short drive. I highly recommend doing the “fancy donut up charge” and getting whatever kind of donuts you like.
I would like to note that the only reason I gave it three stars for service was because there was one employee who was rather curt and short when you tried to speak to her. She seemed to be the one in charge. She was never outright rude, however just seemed as if she was “ too busy “ to have to deal with customers even when there weren’t that many in the store. The younger ladies who made our drinks, etc., were amazing. They really brought the experience back up to what it...
