New to the area so trying to find a local place to hang. We went last Wednesday for the first time. Taylor is extremely friendly with a welcoming personality. I didnt catch the name of the little blonde bartender that came on, but she was sweet as well. We didn't know it was Karaoke night, we only went to try it out for one or 2 drinks. But ended up staying a lot of the night. My husband likes Captain Morgan which they don't have. But no big deal. We had such a good time we decided to go back for NYE. When we got there, it wasn't that busy which was kind of nice. We were welcomed back by Taylor and the blonde which is nice when you are remembered at an establishment. We were served pretty quickly by another female bartender, as there were 4 working that night. The first drink was pretty weak, but not a big deal. As it got busier when the band started (Hair Trigger, which was a pretty decent band), it was clear the bartenders were overwhelmed. Service was on the slow side. I drink Titos and cranberry. Which the first drink or 2 was what I asked for. When I ordered another. I noticed I was being served Raine vodka which I've never had before. I understand if a bar runs out of something, but at least let the patron know. I was served other drinks, but she got the bottle from the other side of the bar therefore I couldn't see what she was giving me. My husband then asked the blonde to make a fruity rum drink with Bacardi and she did which was good. We then wanted a second one of those, but didn't really know the name of what she made. We asked another male bartender, who both times we were there didn't seem too friendly and his words were "I don't know what she made" and simply walked away from us. My stepson was also drinking rum and coke, but they never remembered what we were drinking which good bartenders should. His drinks went from sailor Jerry's to bacardi to jack and others. Him being just 21 he didn't really mind. My stepson then asked that male bartender for a drink and said what she gave me last time and he simply said if you don't know what you're drinking neither do I and walked away once again. Taylor then asked my husband if he wanted another. We told him whatever that fruity drink was and he at least asked her what it was so he could serve it. I asked for my final drink and she said there was only greygoose left which I said fine. Well there wasn't enough for even a half drink so she offered me a flavored vodka. I settled for that. The owners of the bar should make sure there is enough alcohol in their bar to handle NYE. It's not a bad place to hang out if it's not very busy, and the potential of that place could be incredible as they offer pool, darts, and great entertainment. Needless to say we went home sober and watched the ball drop with drinks we wanted and had our own fun. Im easy to please in a bar. So I hate writing bad reviews. But I want the owners to consider...
Read moreGreat hang out spot to just chill or enjoy meeting others. Every bartender I've had is beyond welcoming and makes you feel safe even if you're a solo female grabbing a drink, I even had a car issue and the bartender helped me figure out how to handle it. Don't expect free car service but it shows how great their hired crew is. Above and beyond experience and love the crowd.
The open mic nights on Monday have above average talent and karaoke on Wednesday is a blast. Hidden gem in Wilmington if you just want to enjoy cheap drinks and...
Read moreYou wanted to try something new for our weekly pool contest so we try here. We got there when they opened on a Saturday and had a great time. We really enjoyed the music and the staff members were extremely friendly. Lo and behold when we went to pay them we found out it was free to shoot pool during the day. Another pleasant surprise. I'd recommend checking this place out if you just want to knock back a beer or shoot a few...
