I really wanted to like this place, so much... but Basically all I can say about it, was the food was edible. The portion size compared to the amount of money you pay is just unfair. This was my first visit here, and unfortunately will be my last. On a positive note, the cashier was very friendly and polite and the restaurant looked clean and was well decorated and themed. Negatives, that little breast with what "should be a wing" but was too small to have enough meat to enjoy but was Basically bones and skin and the two sides that weren't even filled to the appropriate amount in the containers was over $10. Atleast fill up the sides if you're giving your customers that small of a portion of Protein. The BBQ Sandwich, it was dry, flavorless, small and overcooked. I found it very bland and dry, even with the slaw added on the side, for over $6.00 for a sandwich I expected the meat to Atleast cover the bun, and have some type of flavor. Here in NC, we take our BBQ seriously. I will say, the baked beans were tasty, but not almost $5.00 worth for a small side, but they had good flavor. I rarely leave any negative reviews, but I was just so incredibly disappointed with this meal, and the amount of money I paid for what I received. I hate to be a creature of habit, but I think I'll have to stick with Bs BBQ or Parkers BBQ, Atleast you do get what you pay for with size, portions and flavor. I'm just so disappointed, I had such high hopes for this particular establishment. I understand costs have gone up everywhere in todays economy, and I chose to patronize this establishment, but your customers expect a nice, flavorful filling meal for the...
Read moreWe got our order mixed up and ended up almost paying $60 for a $42 family meal. Went thru 3 people to get ticket right with one being manager. She did a refund on paper and then had us owing $22 extra. I feel like they should have canceled our order, refunded our order and then we reorder. That wasn't the case. Once they finally got it together the chicken was fried HARD, we were told we could exchange sides but at an additional charge. Order came with slaw and potato salad of which was watery. For $42, exchange of sides should've been free especially with everything we went through. Very disappointed with the way manager was nonchalant with supposedly fixing our order only for someone else to end up fixing and apologizing, by the way she was the ONLY one to apologize and get our food right as we still had to ask for our bar b que and she asked about not having the tea. Come on Moore's my daughter and I eat here regularly after church going through drive thru never having a problem. Our first time doing eat in and experience was not a good one outside of the nice lady that ended up getting our order together, Even a bystanding customer was trying to help cashier telling her the charge she was charging was wrong. Moore's was a joke Thurday 4th of July. I understand it was holiday and they were busy but that was no excuse. Every customer should be treated with respect and empathy especially when you messed up but we were treated as if everything was our fault because we changed our order to a more money saving order. Our money is green just like everyone else and we were treated like we were getting on their nerves. Such a...
Read moreNot terrible, nothing exceptional. It was a decent meal, just a tad overpriced. I wouldn't consider this establishment a sit-down restaurant, more like a fast-food BBQ joint with seating. It's better than Dickey's BBQ but not as good as Mission BBQ. I can see what people were talking about in the reviews about making sure you check your bag. I ordered inside for takeout: number one with slaw on the side, a side of BBQ sauce, mac and cheese, and banana pudding cake. I went to use the restroom, came back out, and sat down. She walked toward me with a tray. I told her again that I wanted it to go. They put it in a bag, so I looked inside to make sure everything was correct. They gave me beans instead of mac and cheese and even rang it up that way. I explained it to them and they gave me mac and cheese. I asked if they wanted the beans back, but they said I could keep them. I think some of the staff may be young and inexperienced or just a little slow. Just bear with them. They are nice and never gave me any attitude about it. Overall, I would come back. As for the food I like the fact that the BBQ pork was vinegar-based but not super strong like most Carolina-style BBQ is. But other than that, the BBQ sandwich was basic, just like cookouts, but with a better bun and more meat. The mac and cheese is lacking; they really need to find Chick-fil-A's recipe because what they've got isn't it. The beans that I didn't want were actually pretty good, but they're giving me Boston baked beans mixed with shredded meat vibes. The star of the show was the banana pudding cake; they definitely...
