We finally were able to visit Roberto's last night and it was a very pleasant surprise. We always noticed that the parking lot was always crowded anytime we drove by so we decided to try some Italian food and we were pleasantly surprised by the service and the excellent tasting food. Our appitizers were the muzzles with white sauce that tasted very good and the mozzarella sticks that we're exceptional as well. The marinara gravy had a very nice taste. The wife tried the Salmon Rockefeller which was accompanied with plenty of crab meat, very tasty and not dry at all. I had the veal parmigiana which was actually one of the tenderness and tasteful pieces of veal I've had in a very long time. We both felt that the meal was extrordinarily we'll prepared. The wait staff was very attentive and the apps and main dishes arrived at our table without too much of a wait. The chef / owner walked around and spoke to the patrons I guess when he got a break from his busy schedule and we were able to comment on our pleasant surprise. He explained in detail how he prepared the veal and seemed genuinely excited and concerned on his patrons experience. His passion and his attitude rivaled those that we have seen in New York .San Francisco and other larger establishments that we visited in the past. It was a very nice experience and we'll certainly return and let our friends and family know to stop in Roberto's for a fantastic meal. It well worth it. Bravo !
10/2/2020 We returned tonight hoping for another nice meal. We were NOT disappointed. I once again had the veal which was very tender and tasted great. My wife had the Ahi Tuna which she said was prepared very nicely and had an excellent taste. Our salads were fresh and our appetizers were also very tasty. Our waitress was EDITH and she was very professional and very attentive. All around a 5 star experience. Roberto's is one of our families favorite place stop stop when we're...
Read moreI gave them a one star because there is no option to give negative five stars. In my 57 years of life this has to be the worst experience I have ever had going out to eat. Myself , my wife and my parents arrived at 6:30 on 6/26/19. We were seated by 6:50. The waitress came right over within five minutes. We ordered our meals and my wife ordered a martini. The rest of us had water. Fifteen minutes later the water and bread came. Only two bread plates because there were no more clean ones in the whole place. Still no salad or martini. At 7:20 the martini and salads came out. At 7:50 the Chef/owner came out to check on tables. When he came to ours we asked what the heck was going on. My dad gave him five minutes to get our food out to the table or we were going to leave. Five minutes later the food arrived. My wife and my dad had eggplant parm. It was not edible. They deep fried it and turned into a pile of cardboard tasting garbage. They didn't eat. Myself and my mom got the shrimp scampi. The shrimp was like eating rubber nuggets and the pasta was swimming in a half inch pool of butter. Not eaten. The chef came out to check on us and we explained to him what I just wrote here. My dad asked for a refund which he did give us. So in the end, we were there for an hour and a half for water, bread and salad. What this Chef/owner needs to do is spend two nights at LaCucina Italian Grill just down the road from him. One with his wait staff in the restaurant eating area to actually see how you are to treat customers and eat/taste real authentic Italian food cooked to perfection. And night number two in the kitchen with his kitchen staff to actually see how to cook food not deep fry eggplant ! Do yourself a favor, stay away. Go to LaCucina...
Read moreFirst things first, My family has frequently dined here before. We went last week for dinner and found the wait for the amount of people to be long. A couple in front us just left stating, it was just taking too long.
A second couple in front of us gave up and placed a order to go instead of dining in. Our wait was shortened due to those folks giving up.
We are locals of the area and fully understand how and when tourist traffic impacts the area and restaurants. So we arrived to miss the beach crowd.
As we sat I noticed the restaurant wasn't so busy as there were Plenty of open tables, recall we sat and waited 45+ minutes for service and saw how many people left. It appears they were understaffed, but not for the amount of patrons currently seated.
We knew what we wanted and promptly ordered to find out they were "out of popular dressings" as of the night before. No big deal as I thought and ordered a alternate dressing and so did my wife and daughter.
Our salads arrived and had to be the most sparce salad I have ever seen, The dressing was thinned so much it only tasted like straight vinegar. All 3 salads combined wouldn't had made a simple house salad serving. The 3 of us agreed to not make a fuss over the salads. Our main course's were horrible to mine being burnt black then covered with sauce Never Again... Roberto's
OUR Family comes from a Restaurant background, you guys failed miserably.
Note, we didn't and don't blame our waitress as she did a good job serving us. We tipped her well. Paid our bill and left. But she knew as she kept apologizing. We didn't add stress to her day with complaints. We could tell other tables were not happy sitting around us also.
ROBERTO'S You have lost our...
