Seaview Crab Company Tramway Open Air Seafood Market — Restaurant in North Carolina

When I tell you their seafood is beyond fresh, I seriously mean it! I am from Rhode Island, The Ocean State. I was raised on fresh seafood. I am so glad I found this seafood location. The staff was so educational and kind with answering all of my seafood questions. Staff assured me the seafood was shipped twice a week straight from Wilmington Beach, NC. I was extremely impressed, due to the fact that the so called fresh seafood I've found down here so far was no where close to fresh as Seaview Crab Company in Tramway. I purchased live blue crabs, live fresh oysters, and live fresh mussels. The crabs and oysters were fantastic. The way I knew the seafood was shipped directly from the beach, was in regards to the mussels. The sweetest fresh live mussels I've had down here in North Carolina, I've ever had, since being here for over 20 years. I felt like I was in Rhode Island with every bite of the sweet, savory, tender mussels. I will definitely be returning back as soon as possible! Definitely recommend fresh...

Stopped by to read the menu posted on the wall and was spoken to by the rudest man. I could read the sign that they don't open until 1:00pm, but he used a loud and rude tone to tell me that they were not open. The lady working at the counter was so nice and asked me if I wanted to take a menu with me, and I replied "yes". she also asked me if there was anything in particular that I was looking for. I said oysters, and asked if they had clusters. Here comes the rude man again in a rude tone saying NO. What the heck!! Big thanks to the lady that works at the counter because she smoothed that over quickly. I was not about to show out over some seafood that I can get somewhere else!! When I got back in my car, my teenage daughter asked me "why was that man so rude to you"? That let me know that I was not wrong about his attitude. I absolutely loved my visit here! I had grabbed a container of the smoked fish spread while on vacay in Wilmington, NC and ate it before I was halfway home to Winston! It was so good I searched for a nearby location and found them on my way! They only had 2 left....by the time I arrived (35 mins later) there was one last container...JUST FOR ME!
