Bojangles — Restaurant in Sanford

I am commenting specifically about the Bojangles in Sanford, NC. This particular Bojangles is one of the best on my travel routes. Clean, friendly, reasonably fast service. We had the 2 piece dinner dark with seasoned fries and the chicken supreme salad, dine-in. This place is consistently the closest to pre-Covid experience as I've had in the last 2 years. I have been to several other BJ's across NC, but many have not recovered. Boone has 2, which are hit or miss - cold fries and tasteless buscuits. Newland has 1 that has been consistently good as well as the one in western Wilesboro on hwy 421. Aberdeen is also hit or miss. The one in Plymouth not so much - very long drive thru waits, the last one taking almost an hour. Elizabeth City Boj was pretty good, though. My on-site observation is that the restaurants with what seemed to be close to the old crew size were the 4+ star places. I know there are challenges in these places post-Covid. Some have figured it out. I just want my old Bojangle's back wherever I'm at. It is my #1 preferred fast food place...

We went there today and wow has it gone downhill. I don't really like to leave negative reviews but today I saw the rare combination of a horribly old microphone that seemed to suck both ways, my order being wrong, food tasting weird (can't really say it tasted old but it kinda did), and when asked if a drink order was right at the window I was met with a "I don't know I didn't make it" from a dead eyed monotone employee. I don't ask for amazing service or expect it but I expect a decent reasonable service. Considering I was in the drive through lane I didn't want to make a fuse and hold everyone up so I just took it and left. This is the worst bojangles I have ever been too. I've been dumb enough to go there multiple times. However today July 26th 2021 was my last. The food is below standard such as it tastes like old oil or is burned from being over cooked. However today the customer service hit a all time low. The gentlemen at the first window took my money and never said a word, forgot my change and receipt and went to leave to go on break. I had to explain to his relief my change back. Then the gentlemen at the second window the same thing. Never said a single word to me. Handed me my food and drink and closed the window in my face. Forget customer service whatever happened to manners and or common decency. This place needs help, regardless until I see a sign that says under new management I...
