Very disappointed overall. First I will say that the location looked very clean, the staff was friendly and they seemed to be working very hard. However the food was sub par at best. The restaurant seems to have opened before they were truly ready as the cooks did not appear to be fully trained and they were not offering the available menu only hot bar items. We tried all of the chicken dishes as well as the rice, lo mein, eggs rolls, spring rolls and crab rangoon in a take out order. The containers we were given were shockingly small for the price and only partially filled. The General Tsaos chicken was not at all what you would expect when ordering the dish and had no real spice. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't really general tsaos. The orange chicken was passable but not good. This place seems to be emulating Panda Express but they could not compare to their signature orange chicken. The sweet and sour chicken was dry and over cooked. The sauce for it was cheap and unimpressive. The rice was bland and lacking in any real flavor. The lo mein was greasy and also very bland. Both the spring and egg rolls were passable but not what I'd call good. The crab rangoon had a tasty filling and plenty of it but the wrapper they used was oddly thick and not right. We were highly disappointed. Perhaps they will improve over time and we will give them a second chance when they actually start serving their full menu. Until then we will skip this restaurant as there are just too many other wonderful...
Read moreWorst highest priced Asian food I've ever eaten. Will never waste my money here again. Food was overcooked and in a puddle of nasty grease. Had absolutely no flavor except taste of grease. I don't know how this place stays in business. $18 for a dinner my dog wouldn't even eat. That's what that might have been instead of chicken anyway. If I had pets and lived close to that restaurant I'd be careful to make sure they weren't on the menu the next day. I wish I could get my money back but at least I can try and warn public to avoid this place like the black plague. They make all Asians look bad acting like they can cook. I hope health department gets them or they get caught with cats in the freezer or something to get justice for the most expensive worst food I have ever gotten in my whole life. I'd call them out to parking lot and get me little if I knew they wouldn't call law on me. I'm so mad because I been sick and was really looking forward to eating something I have always really enjoyed on so many restaurants in my life. Pack up and go back to China. You don't...
Read moreThis place is a gem in the nice little town of Murphy, NC! Everything was cooked well like the chicken (wasn’t dry and choky). The restaurant was very clean, including the tables (they weren’t sticky!!). And the waitress was very attentive and sweet. We were dining in but ordered more to go because we liked it so much!
I recommend the sesame chicken, General Tso’s chicken, the cheese Rangoon (the sweet and sour sauce is good), and the steamed rice. My husband is picky about his rice and really liked it.
The only things we didn’t love were the orange chicken (a little too sweet/fruity for us), and the Singapore Curry Noodles (didn’t love the flavor but could just be us). Again, everything was cooked well so we ate it anyway. But the sesame chicken and General Tso’s were some of the best we’ve had!
Definitely appreciated this little restaurant and wish it wasn’t so...
