Stubbs and Sons BBQ — Restaurant in Sanford

My son and I hit this place on our way back from Pinehurst on a recommendation from someone. It is a good waypoint between Pinehurst and Durham. Hole in the wall vibe with picnic tables. The food was great except that they closed at 7 and we arrived at 645 and basically anything fried (fish, fries, etc.) was not available. The woman manager was nasty, scowling, and clear she was ready to start Miller Time early. She even locked the doors 5 minutes early to the dismay of someone who pulled up at 656 pm. If you can get past the service and attitude from the manager, you'll enjoy it...food was fine but certainly not hospitable...

I've been going here for years. Picked up a shrimp plate, barbecue sandwich and onion rings through the drive-thru I was so tired just wanted to go home and sit down and eat. Most of the onion rings were burnt and the shrimp was over cooked. The young lady that apparently was a supervisor gave me half of the cost of the onion rings as a refund..OMG 1.75$ for the trouble I had to drive all the way back up there and gas really.... cooked me another plate of shrimp and it looked better. Called my order in was told it would be ready in 15mins. I get there in 30. Pay and told it will be right out. I waited 30mins then i go ask how much longer and im told it will be out in a few mins. I wait 10 more mins. Get my food. Several items i paid for not in the bag. At that point im already home and no longer care. Plus my food had to had been ready cause it was cold which has me thinking they forgot it and it was sitting to side ready the whole time. I'll...
