I decided to try this place for the very first time. I had a Grubhub gift card and didn't really feel like going anywhere so I ordered delivery via Grubhub. This was just about 8:25 pm. So okay, it tells me it will arrive between 9:13 and 9:23. Being as I am only about 12 minutes away, I chalked it up to them being busy. Okay, at 9:15 I get a message saying order delayed. New time now says 9:35 to 9:47. Okay, I'm pretty sure they close at 9:30 so I called the restaurant to inquire about the delay - especially to see if maybe food was actually ready and waiting for a driver - because at that point, okay, I'll go pick it up! Well, I get put on hold and disconnected 5 times. Each time I call back and get told they know nothing and have to talk with manager - who is on the phone. I keep telling her I am on my way there and asking one question, "Can I pick up my food?!" Ultimately I get told the food has been ready but no driver. I say fine, I am almost there. I pull in, go in store - they say "oh the driver just left with your food!" I'm like well, I am no longer home, how bout you just remake it fresh? Nope, can't do that. Okay cancel this order then. Nope, can't do that either. Bear in mind now it's almost 9:40 and this food has been kicking around for over an hour now! Can't remake or refund even tho they told me no drivers and I had said on my way to just pick up. I then am told by the guy I have to wait while he calls delivery service. 15 minutes later I am allowed to leave and yes I ultimately did get refunded by grub hub. But a whole HUNGRY hour and a half wasted in the meanwhile! BTW, if you read other reviews of mine, you will see I almost never write a bad review of places - this was just truly crazy and a cluster you know what! Never again will I...
Read moreGot delivery tonight for the first time, and I am THRILLED! BEST steamed dumplings anywhere, and I am talking better than Lam's Garden. The sauce is so rich and flavorful, the filling meaty and satisfying, the pasta so delicately thin.
Lumpia as well, the same Philly cheesesteak kind as Lam's. Just as good. Crab Rangoon are the quad fold kind rather than triangle, which creates a lot of plain fried pastry. Their sauce for the Rangoon is fantastic, with a zesty citrus tang that is fresh and bright, not the usual pink glop other places serve you.
Orange chicken was nice pieces, well-fried, not cooked to death. Plenty of orange zest, and some big broccoli. Fluffy but perfectly sticky white rice. Beef lo mein was what you would expect.
Lemonade was sweet and tart and made a great Arnold Palmer with my tea. Little fried doughnut balls were a fun treat to wrap the meal but need to be eaten very quickly.
Overall, an excellent choice for Chinese food delivery, and my next order will be 3 orders steamed...
Read moreYang’s Kitchen is hands-down one of my favorite places to eat! Their chicken wings are always perfectly cooked—juicy, tender, and bursting with flavor every single time. The rice is incredible, cooked just right, and full of amazing taste. And the Chinese donuts? Simple yet absolutely delicious—they’re soft, sweet, and the perfect treat to round off a meal.
What really sets Yang’s Kitchen apart is how consistently excellent their food is. Every dish is prepared with care and cooked to perfection. I eat here at least once a week, and it’s a lifesaver for someone on a tight budget like me. The portions are so generous that I always end up with leftovers, making it even more worth it.
