We were in Chicago for a graduation, looking for a good, non-chain breakfast restaurant. We saw that Mia's had recently opened and had good reviews that turned out to be well-deserved indeed. Mia herself greeted us promptly and treated us like old friends. The decor is attractive and the space is Business was steady and Mia stayed on top of everything but never seemed rushed. She didn't blink at special orders, responding "of course" to each "Can I get...?" And the food was amazing! I'm a big western omelet fan (no onions) and Mia's chef sautéed the ham and veggies before wrapping them in the egg mixture why doesn't everyone do this? Totally raised the bar for me. Mia passed my compliment along to the chef and they both thanked me. My husband loved the chorizo skillet, as did our son when they came back the next day. A wonderful experience for us all. Mia ~ We wish you all the success in the world, and can't wait to see you on our next trip...
Read moreI chose to come here with my 11 year old daughter because we LOVE breakfast spots. This was something new for us so we decided to give it a try. First impression of the menu: everything is al la carte. I wasn't impressed. They're wasn't any breakfast combo meals and everything was overpriced. I ordered pancakes, eggs and sausage and my daughter ordered French toast and eggs. The price was over $40. Not reasonable at all. I felt cheated but I figured the food would justify the price: it didn't. The cheese on the eggs was an American cheese slice used for sandwiches. It left a waxy feel in our mouths that me and my daughter didn't like. The service was absolutely great which is why I didn't give them less stars but there's definitely room for improvement. Would I return? Maybe if they changed a few things I mentioned in this review but as of now,...
Read moreThe only reason I am rating my experience a 3 is because the owner was extremely nice. The food was not what we expected at all. Coffee was nearly clear. It wasn’t good at all. They need to change the coffee. I didn’t even drink it but paid for it. If you are looking for items out of a can and box then this is your place. I wouldn’t even be mad about that if the prices were right. Prices are terrible. $15 for one small stack of pancakes that looked and tasted like they came out of McDonalds drive thru. They charged us $4 for any additives like jalapeños etc. once again if this was some really awesome meal no problem I will pay for good food. Very over priced and quality is not there. Place is very clean and...
