Tacos Los Gemelos is one of my favorite taquerias in Redwood City. With stiff competition (Redwood City once was cited as having more taquerias than any other city in the Bay Area), Los Gemelos stands out for their single tortilla tacos, diverse meat choices and their consume.

My favorite taco meats are cabeza (head), lengua (tongue), and Barbacoa.

The consume, made from all the meat items, is a savory broth seasoned with Mexican spices and the perfect compliment to tacos.

I’ve been to their original Redwood City location on El Camino Real many times but this was my first visit to their newest second location on the outskirts of Menlo Park (near Redwood City).
