Service was horrible and my sandwiches were cold. The server didn't greet me or my friends when I walked in and just stared at us until we decided what we wanted. I asked for a peppercorn steak with sauteed mushrooms added and the cashier kept speaking over me as I was trying to place my order. I attempted to make small talk and was completely ignored. The cashier seemed like he didn't even want to be there. Even if you really don't want to be there, it's your job to create an environment where your customers feel welcome. You're not supposed to make them feel like they're a burden. Although there was a girl working there who seemed very nice. I worked at the Quiznos off of 64th street a few months back, so I know that my peppercorn steak was made wrong. The meat was not dipped in au jus as it should have been, no mushrooms had been added as I requested, there was barely any sauce, and my friend's pesto caesar sub was completely cold (I'm guessing the chicken was not dipped in the chicken broth as well). When I requested some sauteed mushrooms on the side since I didn't get any on my sandwich, he just gave them to me cold. Sauteed mushrooms get put on before the sub goes in the toaster, that way they AREN'T cold. When I worked at 64th street, we would put the mushrooms through the toaster before giving it to the customer if we happened to forget them or if they wanted some on the side. I have never been so disappointed with a dining experience. I have literally never complained about service or quality of food at a restaurant before, and I am completely upset that the 64th street location (which had great service and the quality of food was good even before and after my time working there) was closed instead of this one. I won't...
Read moreWhile apparently I should have read the reviews before I went there I had a horrible experience there tonight. Order my food everything is going good 18 to 20 minutes later with my food sitting on at the end of the conveyor belt for over 10 minutes. I asked the guy what's up with my sandwich he tells me I'm only one guy and I asked him what's wrong with the guy in back that's worried about cleaning up to go home that was just making sandwiches 10 minutes ago. I got in there at 8 they don't close till 9 I think their biggest concern should be pleasing the customers and not closing down their store before. so when I asked him to hurry up he doesn't ask his buddy for back up he just waits till he gets done taking order from the other people takes his merry time making my sandwich I asked him to please hurry because I'm pressed for time and he tells me there's no reason to get rude and then conveniently leaves all the toppings off my sandwich and wraps it up. I noticed he did this so when he brings me my sandwich I ask for my money back. His response was you throw this little fit and now you want your money back. Man what happened to customer service it's gone out the window with this...
Read moreLove quiznos. Wish there were more of them in Kansas City.
I recall the first time i ever went to a quiznos. It was a summer day in the 90's. I was just a teenage boy without a care in the world on my way to Kansas City for a rodeo and we stopped in Lamar Colorado for Lunch. Before i had marveled at the sandwiches of another popular establishment which shall not be named, and thought i knew it all. Well brother i had much to learn. The wonder of a toasted sub was brought full upon me and my very being, and i have never been the same.
Then one day years later i tried the black angus steak, and it became my go-to order. That. And a Dr Pepper is a prime satisfying meal without equal.
Also the lobster sub is really good too.
Sadly Quiznos are becoming hard to find. I seek them kut whenever im able to and treasure each bite like it will be my last. I light a candle for this beloved establishment, and look back fondly at my facebook memories of each sandwitch ive eaten there whenever they come across my feed.
I faithfully await the day when quiznos returns to its former glory and the streets bask in the aroma of a freshly toasted sub.
I will be here Quiznos... and i...
