First Off, Our Server Was Awesome, She Was A Sweetheart

I ordered Pizza and was sitting in view of the Kitchen, I watched the the young man prepare the Pizza with his bare hands, I wish I'd knew before I had the Spinach Dip,

He also rubbed his nose, drank from a cup in which he sat near my pizza sat his backpack on the same counter that I'm sure has sat on the floor at some point, as he ran through looking for things and then left it sitting there until he left.

I also witnessed other workers sweeping and mopping going back and forth to the kitchen no hand washing in sight. We told our server we did not want the food because of the unsanitary practices.

Then the manager Lindsey shown here came over to our table with her bad attitude and had no apologies just said the heat kills the germs the health department said so, smh absolutely ridiculous.

So basically screw me as a customer, I should adapt to what YOU believe. Do you know how many people have gotten Hepatitis from Salads? Fingernails carry a lot of dirt and bacteria, everything's not cooked on high heat and even if it were,who would have those kind of practices.

I asked for the main managers phone number and Lindsey came over with a smirky attitude saying here's the card, kinda in a way of,It won't do you any good.

We were very pleasant and it's a shame that you have people like this running an establishment, I wouldn't want someone like this working in any place of mine.

She looked as if she was up for an argument or debate, being a woman of color, I've met a lot of Lindsey's in my day, I will not raise my voice or get loud, she's going to be who she is

I know nothing will be done but at least people will have a choice of bare hands or gloves at Old Chicago. I've been a nurse 32 years, WASH YOUR HANDS AND WEAR GLOVES.... It is to your benefit.

Update. I meant to post this sooner. Spoke with a very nice regional manager and it refunded my appetizers. I really appreciate it and I really felt heard and I want to tell him...

Ordered 4 entrees online. Drove to pick up the order which was scheduled for pickup at 8:08. I forgot my mask, but the sign on the door said there were exceptions for mask mandates ( of which I was excused). Still, I entered the building with my shirt pulled up over my mouth and nose. I announced that I forgot a mask and asked to enter, to which the manager said was fine. Even though others were walking around without a mask, I kept my sorry in place.

The problem arose when the order incorrect. The order was sitting at the cash register when I arrived at 8:08pm, but there was only 3 of the 4 entrees. When I asked where the 4th entree was neither the cash register employee nor the manager answered. The employee answered a phone and I tried to get the manager to acknoeledge me 3x's. She finally turned around and I said "where is the 4th entree"? She said they had accidentally given it to a different customer. She said she could either take the order off or start cooking it. I was not happy about that and expressed my unacceptance with that because the food that was waiting was only going to get colder. I did not yell or make any scene, but I said I would not accept a partial order nor would I accept the cold food. I said I wanted a refund, which she said she would, but when I asked for a receipt she said leave the store because I didn't have a mask. It was at this point I started recording the interaction.

I am tired of spending my money at these restaurants that do not have...

My other review was an old review from about two years ago. Not sure why google maps won't let me do another review. My current review is much different from my other one. Went to old chicago saturday November 25/23. Service was good atmosphere was good. The food was bad. Pizza had globs of green pepper just thrown on it. Like a pile not spread out. Pizza was cold. I don't think I got the right crust if I did. It was horrible and made wrong. Pizza crust isn't Supposed to be tough. All the food was cold except for the calzon , Which was so hot could not eat till after everybody was finished with their meal. Which tells me the kitchen doesn't know how to appropriately time food. My guess would be everyone's food set while The calzone cooked And that's why everybody else's food was cold. The the appetizers we're cold. Lacked toppings. Pizza was cold. The toppings were just thrown on in the middle. I had a pile of green peppers in the middle. My olives didn't even look like they went. On the pizza. T the appropriate time. Their specialty drinks they were out of Jingle juice And I don't remember the other one. They had no amaretto. To make the specialty drinks. They offered to make the drinks with triple sec instead of amaretto? Doesn't seem like a good substitute. I'm not sure. I will come back here again even though in the past this has been one of my...
