Subway — Restaurant in North Kansas City

The stars are only for the food because service was not good. Went in on a Tuesday evening at 8:30 pm with 3 of us. No one in line. One employee was emptying the lobby tea buckets while we heard another employee in the back. Stood at the counter for over 5 minutes before finally asking if someone was going to help us. In the meantime another couple had came in and left after a few minutes of no help. So the guy working the lobby (mind you closing time is 10 pm) said he would check when he finished, but ended up being the one to help us. Never saw the other employee so this one had to do the whole line. Meaning entire sandwiches and cashier. He was not the best at it either, needing us to repeat ingredients when only giving 2 to 3 at a time! Good thing I don't frequent this area and hoping no more trips to that hospital although their review will be much better...

Having experienced extreme wait times here in the past - I figured I would try doing a pickup order instead to avoid the wait.

It turns out that doesn't help - wait 20 minutes for a pickup order to be marked ready - arrive - then wait 10+ minutes for them to make it? I watched people walk in - place their order - and leave with food while I waited for mine to be made. So trying to do a pickup order actually makes your wait even longer.

100% pointless to try to avoid a frustrating wait here on your lunch break - not worth trying again after so many chances.

The nearby McDonalds is incredibly fast and the pickup orders are ready when they are marked as ready - amazing experience compared to trying to buy food from this...

Went to this Subway for dinner because it was on the way home, and while the employees were polite and nice, they messed up my order. I did not notice, because after it being confirmed twice, they forgot to include part of the order. When I got home I noticed and had to go back up there to get the missing part of the order. When I called and told them I was on my way back up because they screwed up, the person I spoke with was very nonchalant about it. When I opened one of the sandwiches I purchased, I found that it was burnt and very hard to eat. Needless to say, I will not be going back to this...
