Chipotle Mexican Grill — Restaurant in North Kingstown

I recently visited the Chipotle on and was thoroughly impressed by the management. The place was crowded and it looked like the workers were super busy and working their hardest. The manager, David/Dawson (I don’t remember his name) took charge during a hectic lunch rush with remarkable efficiency and composure. He filled in for someone on the burrito line and was coordinating with the workers to get food on the line. He coordinated the team seamlessly, ensuring that every order was prepared accurately and promptly, even with a long line of customers.

What really stood out was how when I got up there he had a bright smile and warm demeanor. He approached each customer, and me, with a genuine smile and took the time to ask about my day, creating a welcoming atmosphere. It was evident that their positive attitude not only lifted the spirits of the customers but also energized the staff.

I noticed how the employees responded to him with respect and eagerness. When he provided guidance on food preparation or cleaning or something else, the team followed through attentively, clearly valuing their manager's leadership. This level of teamwork made the service feel both personal and efficient.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I always order from this chipotle and they always seem to leave out parts of the order when I place online, so tonight I went into the store to order to make sure there was no miscommunication. At 8pm, 3 hours before they close, they were out of chicken, pork, sour cream and fajita veggies and claimed they would not be getting more sour cream, veggies or pork this evening. They did say they were making more chicken but it would be awhile and they suggest I order something else. I requested how long it would be because I didn’t mind waiting and they turned to ask the guy on the grill about how long. The man seemed very upset and claimed it would be at the least 10 minutes and was very clearly unhappy I asked. The kid taking my order turned around and said it’s going to be awhile. The whole exchange was very odd. But now I realize why when I order online around 8pm they leave out parts of the order because they simply stop restocking most of the items at a certain time of the night. I wanted this Chipotle to be great since it is closest to me but I'm sorry to say that this one really misses the mark. Went in with my son to buy 2 burritos and a tiny bag of chips for lunch. Although the food quality was decent, for a cost of just under $30 we really felt cheated. Chipotle in general has gotten very stingy with protein portions but this location takes it to the extreme. One portion is supposed to be 4 oz - the person making my burrito sprinkled a few pieces of meat onto my tortilla, and it looked pathetic. I asked her how much meat there should be and she said 4 oz. When I got home to eat I put the contents of my burrito in a bowl and took out the meat to weigh it. Even with extra weight from salsa etc. on the meat it only came to just barely 3 oz.
