As ice cream is my favorite and this location is mere blocks from our home, I've visited probably close to 10 times in the last 3 months before writing this review. The food has always been hot and my order correct, but the sheer amount of time it takes to get your food is really underwhelming. Always a chance it could be due to staffing issues related to Covid, but sitting as the lone car in the drivethru for 15 minutes is a little crazy....it makes the 'We accept tips' sign taped to the window laughable (and tacky).
An update, one month after my initial review: I believe in patronizing local, family run businesses even when they are chain restaurants, so I had yet to give up on this location. Until today.
I entered the drive thru behind 1 car at 11:57am. (Keep in mind, the drive thru is all that is open due to Covid.) Upon ordering, I was informed that they did not have rotisserie chicken for....well....half of the chicken items they sell. There would be no grilled chicken until the order came in 4 days later. I settled for crispy chicken. I was also informed that they did not have applesauce for the kids meals....WAIT! Just kidding. They did! Okay. Great. Then, I get to the window and am informed that they do not have Diet Coke. Okay, regular Coke it is. I'm then informed that they don't have milk for the kids meals. Oh wait. They do. (At this point, the young man at the window mentions something about the computer having issues).
I'm writing this review in the time it takes to receive my food after pulling around to the side (which appears to be a new tactic to get people through the drive thru faster). 21 minutes after entering the drive thru, I now have my food. Upon returning home, I realize they never gave me my ice cream. Again, I'm not sure if this is a (mis)management issue....a budgeting issue for appropriate staffing, or just an all around cluster of a problem- but I will not be returning to this DQ. The folks that work there have always been pleasant- but unfortunately, that's just not enough to keep someone coming back to an establishment with consistent and...
Read moreThe young man who took our order was extremely nice. It went south from there. After 20 minutes of waiting, our number was called. I went to the counter to pick it up but only half of the order was ready. I was advised the other half would be ready in a few minutes but to start with what we had. After 15 minutes I went to the counter to check the status of the balance of our order and stood there for another 10 minutes before someone acknowledged I was even standing there. I explained I was waiting for the rest of our order. She found one item that had been setting there on the pass-through window. The chocolate shake was still MIA however, but was soon made and I took our order and went back to our booth. I asked a young man if I could get some ketchup. He volunteered to bring us some. He came back with one packet and said if I wanted any more I would have to pay for it. 😳. Sad Sad direction this country is headed in. We won’t return to any Dairy Queens any time soon, or most...
Read moreI have never had such a terrible experience at any fast food restaurant. Taylani was the server working at the drive thru tonight and I have to say she has the worst customer service ever. She not only ignored half of the order I placed but when asked to add the desired items she became rude and cold. After telling me the total amount she proceeded to not speak with me the remainder of the time. She would open the drive thru window hand me food and then slam it behind her to show her apparent anger at having to do her job. Not only did she take her time to get the food ready she would go back and forth to her other two coworkers and constantly complain about me while pointing in my direction thinking I would not notice. I can understand it being busy and getting frustrated, but the fact the she wanted to act so rude and belligerent is ridiculous. Will never return to this restaurant again because of this single encounter. Also will recommend everyone stays...
