My boys love it here! Very cool park, but it's definitely gotten more busy over the past few years. All the parks around town need cleaned! Dirty like all the other parks around town, so i you are looking to strengthen your immune system, then go lick some hand rails. Where's the parks and recreation city workers?? They all need cleaned regularly and fairly often and this filthy park is no different! Oustide the gated park there is a beautiful pond to check out with wildlife like ducks, geese, fish and turtles that share the habitat. Usually there is litter floating in the water and scattered all around the main pond/play area. They have a splash pad area and sand pit with dinosaur bones inside the gated park area. So during spring to fall water season there is usually a homeless person or 2 showering off in the splash pad while kids play. Everyone's got to stay cool during those hot summer days sure, but filthy and fully dressed, mid day?? Multiple visits I have witnessed hobos digging through the trash bins inside and outside the gated play area. You just never know when a bum will roll out of their favorite bush or spring up out of a leaf pile around the pond. It is a nice park even with its flaws, and I still frequent this park monthly. The trees are pretty in the fall (see shared pic) [I'm no photographer, but liked the view] even tho the picture doesn't show any of the main attractions at the park, this is my only picture of it. We like to keep it exciting in...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreClean well kept park. Super neat dinosaur themed at the playground area for the kids. It is covered with a good amount of shade with different new things for the kids to do. The park has been like that for a while but it's more upgraded than some old school ones. They have musical hitting wind chime things, swings, slides, stuff for the little ones as well as the older ones to do. They have bathrooms which were kept up as well. Plenty of grass area. And a couple different spots to play different sports. Parking was alright. There should be enough room to find a spot unless theres an event or a holiday, then you might have to park on the street or the parking lots across the street. I didnt see picnic tables or areas that had one but, it's a huge park so it's a possibility I missed it? I did however see people with their own canopies and no one seemed bothered by anyone else. No one was calling a park ranger or anything like that. Ha. Overall a nice park that i definitely would choose to come to again. P. S. Theres a duck/ geese pond! I'll have to remember to take pictures next time. I was just too busy being in the moment while I was there and I don't regret it...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI rate the appeal good because of the waterfall and the dino dig structure for the kids. This would have been more of a highlight for my family if the area around the pond was cleaner. I understand nature and bird poo but this place takes it to the extreme. Everywhere you walk on the section that is the most picturesque, the pond/waterfall, is green goose and bird poo. Not just little droppings but decent sized poo spots. If you choose to walk and dooge the poo, there is a park for children on the other side. It seems most geared for younger but school-aged children. There are open, grassy areas for picnic type activity. I can't speak to the level of bird debris in those areas To be fair, there is parking directly by the playground area where you could park and avoid the bird poo situation. The park is located across the street from shopping and Starbucks. The overall experience was worthy of a couple good pictures via the waterfall and playground area however I would not take a small child to "see the geese" unless hop scotching avoiding the poo is worth it. Maybe the grassy areas are worth the trip. I had to see it to...
