I’m a big believer that whenever you move to a new neighborhood, you need to find your personal favorite restaurants close to home. Sure, I have my favorite everything if I head to Chinatown or the Strip, but I mean you need something within 5-10 minutes of your home for those quick lunches or on nights you don’t feel like cooking or “going out.”
Finding a good ramen place and pho place is #1 on that list. And while my favorite pho in Vegas is still Pho Saigon 8, Pho Aimee is my new “local” close-to-home location.
The location is spacious and the food is really quite good. The fried chicken wings are spectacular; the pho flavor and portion are great. They really are generous with their noodle and meat portioning. The spring rolls are just mediocre….and I wish they had this sausage patty rolls (nem nuong cuon?) like Pho Saigon, but it is what it is. I’ve tried the wonton soup with rice noodles (pictured) and it’s also rich and delicious.
So why four stars?
Well, on multiple visits, while the service is friendly — MY GOD, HOW LONG CAN IT TAKE TO SERVE PHO AND SPRING ROLLS????
We have waited over 30 minutes for food each time and if you know pho restaurants, that is not normal. Thirty minutes of none of our dishes coming out — not even spring rolls — is just not normal.
For that, I have to take a star. It happens even when it’s only a few tables inside.
Today, when the noodles finally came out, the server came and apologized that the spring rolls were still not ready and if I would like to order anything in its stead. I cancelled and it was fine since we were already halfway through our meal and getting full — but come on.
I still have a ton of things to try on their vast menu and will continue going, happily. But not when I’m about to pass out from hunger because Pho Aimee will be the final nail in my coffin if I go there hungry.
Recommendation: Add a good pho...

We decided to try Pho Aimie again because we really do love the food. I am happy to report that we had a wonder experience, the staff recognized us and immediately came over to apologize for our previous visit. They thanked us for coming back and made our meal very special. I appreciated being seen and heard. They truly care about their customers. We will definitely be back. Thank you Pho Aimie and staff! :)
We had a terrible experience on Thursday night. It was busier than usual, which I understood. We had 5 kids and 2 adults so I Knew that the wait was going to be a while. We were sat after 45 mins, and we ordered immediately. We knew what we wanted. We ordered stir fry noodles and steamed veggies for our kids. That came out after 30 mins which was a long time in my opinion but I was happy that my kids could eat. 20 mins in our pho still wasnt out. The table next to us ordered after we did and they got all of their food out immediately. After 30 mins of waiting, our kids were done eating and our pho still had not arrived. We decided to get up and leave as our kids were getting antsy. I go to the cashier and ask for the check. I complained to her and let her know that we still had not received our full meal. She apologized and let me know that the pho was being made as we speak which was completely unacceptable. She was the one that took our order and never came back to check on our table. We arrived at 5pm and got up to leave at 7pm. We left hungry, our kids were still hungry. It it a great place to eat and service is normally quick but I don’t think they are well equipped for large families or busy nights. We wont be coming back...
Read moreWe decided to try Pho Aimie in the North. The thing that distinguishes a great pho from one that is not remarkable is the broth. It is time consuming and labor intensive, but that is the price of a great pho broth. We ordered our regular, the pho with everything and the pho with Tai, Bo Vien. At the last minute I changed to Tai with extra Tai, which is what I am going to order from now on. We also ordered, Gyoza and Thai tea. When we got the pho, I noticed that the broth was really tasty and full of flavor. We engaged the waiter in conversation and found out that despite the same name that the company was owned by two different owners but still share the same name. At least that is what we were given to understand. The store at the North has very flavor full broth and It makes all the difference to us. I have come to realize that many of the pho places in town have gone to cost saving measures and do the broth quickly and that the result is a pho with much less flavor and it is not the ingredients what make pho what it is but the broth, and it takes time to get that flavor from the bones etc…on low slow heat. Just one...
