they have private parking so driving to come here is no problem.
coming in we noticed how nice and traditional looking the restaurant was, we step into a Honduran cafeteria style restaurant, here we found traditional drinks, sodas and also some to go baked goods if we wished for the road.
our waitress spoke both English and Spanish, she was very friendly and pleasant as well as super helpful with guiding us through the menu.
COCONUT WATER- I just got a coconut water can so nothing too exciting here :(
TAMALES- their tamales come with a side of sour cream, the tamales themselves were pretty great I must say, it was a different experience to have them with the sour cream but I did wish they had options to stuff the tamales. I was actually dying for a cheese tamale when I got there.
PUPURSAS- this is the best pupursas I have EVER had in my entire life. this dish is like an arepa or a tortilla if you will, inside though they stuff the pupursa with various flavors of your choice, mine was cheese obviously, and I was glad I chose this plate, it was pretty amazing, I also got a side of rice and refried beans, they added more rich to the entire plate, the pupursas were perfect.
we were happy and felt like the Honduran food suited us very well. I would come back here in. heart beat! the people are nice, the foo was great and the ambiance took us to another place!
to me this is AN HIDDEN GEM worth the...
Read moreRosalinda's Restaurant is a delightful culinary oasis for authentic Central American cuisine. I ordered the platanos and pupusas revueltas, and both dishes were outstanding.
The platanos were perfectly caramelized, achieving that ideal balance of sweetness and savory flavor. They were tender on the inside with a slightly crispy exterior - exactly how they should be. The pupusas revueltas were the star of the show. These thick corn tortillas were stuffed with a mouthwatering combination of cheese, refried beans, and chicharrón (pork). The filling was generous and flavorful, with the cheese melting beautifully into the other ingredients. The pupusas came with a side of curtido (pickled cabbage slaw) and tomato salsa. While the curtido added a perfect tangy contrast to the rich pupusas, the tomato salsa could have been better. It was a bit too watery for my taste, but this minor issue didn't detract from the overall great flavor of the dish.
The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality of food. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall pleasant dining experience.
If you're craving authentic Central American flavors, Rosalinda's is definitely worth a visit. Their platanos and pupusas revueltas alone are reason...
Read moreThis was absolutely the best South of the Border food that I've had so far!
The wife had pupusas which is like corn flat bread with filling in them. Wow! Deliciousness in a pouch! Her dish also came with fried plantains and spicy-vinegary cole slaw type dish.
I had the Pollo Frito con Tajadas de Guineo Verde. Basically it was a quarter chicken that was fried in a very tasty manner on a bed of plantains with some sort of pickled cabbage. The combination of all of it together was just excellent.
Also, the dipping sauce for the chips (I can't really call it salsa) was VERY GOOD! It was sweet, followed by a zing. Delicious!
The people there were very friendly and answered all my questions as I knew nothing about Honduran food.
Just an FYI: we showed up there about 3 in the afternoon, so the place was pretty empty in...
