I thought Disneyland had the best corn dogs; I was wrong. To be fair, I haven’t tried many corn dogs, only those in public school, some cheap microwave varieties in my youth, and of course at the happiest place on earth (it’s not, divorce court is). I’ve driven by the truck several times, and finally pulled the trigger. The Jalapeño / Cheddar was excellent; a slight spicy edge but not obnoxious; a rich, satisfying cornmeal coating, and a wooden stick. There was nothing particularly special about the stick so don’t get your hopes up. I was surprised when I was asked if I wanted honey. Honey? Was this a front for a human trafficking operation? The food is amazing! I’ve never had a corn dog quite like the Smokey cheddar dog. And they said that’s not even their most popular!
