I purchased a pair of work boots. They were exceptionally well made & comfortable. I was satisfied with my purchase. After my visit to IFA, I was on my way home & I noticed a new Cal Ranch location not too far from IFA. I decided to stop & take a look at their selection, & although it was very similar to IFA, I did try a few pairs of work boots on & happened to find a pair that IFA didn't carry which I had purchased in the past & was very satisfied, so of course, shopping for work boots, for me, is a serious endeavor & there isn't any reason to keep the work boots I just barely Purchased from IFA. I now had 2 pair of boots around $200 apiece & was obviously going to take the pair purchased from IFA the following day after work. When I took them back in with the sales receipt, I was surprised at the way I was treated. The clerk handling the return mentioned the boots being scuffed, implying that I was trying to get over on IFA by wearing a pair of expensive boots for one day and then return them . This was ludicrous. Especially if she went back and looked at the rest of their selection, she would have quickly found other "brand new" merchandise w/much worse scuff marks. I'm guessing we're made from previous customers trying them on. Which I'm sure any reasonable person would expect in this particular situation. I really like IFA as well as Cal Ranch. I couldn't say which one I like more, honestly. This situation could have been handled...
Read moreDo not buy a freeze dryer from here, you are totally better off for getting them at Harvest Right, it’s the same price and everything is the same. Only difference is if you have a non working or broken machine IFA will tell you, “not my problem. You bought it and it’s your problem to deal with now” they won’t let you return it to IFA and Harvest Right has a different policy for buying through IFA.
To make things worse, IFA sold us a used unit! The freeze dryer wasn’t even strapped to the pallet, everything was opened and loose. We even had missing stuff in the box we had to go back for. Harvest Right was very nice to work with us and fixed all our problems. We had to get a new machine because Harvest Right’s repair shop couldn’t fix it either so they exchanged it for a new one.
Moral of the story, get the freeze dryer at Harvest Right. They even test all of them and make sure it works before giving them out. You can buy the rubber mats, and oil, etc. there just not the freeze dryer and maybe not the pump either.
Edit: I can’t believe that they have responded to me so unapologetically, I very much tried working with the manager. I also don’t appreciate being called a liar. Anyhow I say one more time, beware of buying one at any retailer. I only know for sure that the policy is different through IFA then from buying directly. We got lucky and Harvest Right stretched thin for us but others may not...
Read moreMy wife was humiliated by an aggressive younger manager over our 3 year old son who was being difficult. It’s hard enough for a mom as it is to shop often with children. Good employees can make a world of difference by being kind and helping to work with a mom as is the case when she shops in the Preston store and every other competitor type store. In this case, this assistant manager was pompous and very unprofessional. He was accusatory and had a threatening demeanor toward my wife which would have gone very bad for him defensively speaking had I been present! His behavior was not ok!!! It’s quite clear by other reviews here that the North Logan store needs an overhaul of a few employees who seem to have a very poor attitude of dealing with customers! A great start would be to fire the assistant manager! Until he is gone, we will not shop there any further. We will take the thousands we spend per month for our ranch needs and shop Bomgaars & Cal Ranch...
