Bruh I get it, it’s a Caribbean place but PLEASE have more organization!

First off if I call ahead of time and you tell me 20 mins, don’t have me waiting an additional 30 mins when I get there “We make everything fresh!” Neg listen mwen compran! But are you going outside to a lake to catch the fish too? You told me 20mins, I rather you tell me “straight up, it’s gonna be 50 mins” I’ll hit you with a Shannon Sharpe “THAT AINT NO PROBLEM, THAT AINT NO PROBLEM, THAT AINT NO PROBLEM...” The food is good, I will wait for it; but I rather wait at home, not in the restaurant awkwardly around other Haitian girls I used to pipe back in the day, NMB is waaaay too small bruh,

Also call your phone company and add Call waiting , if they are on the phone the phone goes STRAIGHT to voicemail and half the time the ladies don’t hang up the phone so the line is busy (but idk if they do it on purpose or not that’s beyondddd me)

All and all I love this place I just hate that Caribbean restaurants aren’t trying to step up to the plate and fight the typically bad customer service stereotype Sometime I’m craving this place but don’t go because I know the visit will take up half of my day

So either get a bigger place, hire more people Or just be truthful with the wait time

I think people call to order and don’t show up to pick up their order so they’re probably like “aye start cooking the food when they show up🤷🏾‍♂️” and I’ll be honest that’s smart but cmon dawg...WE WILL SHOW UP 95% of the time PLEASE believe us

I’m on the way now I’ll probably bring my laptop to get a head start on my taxes in the car considering I’ll spend 2 hours waiting for some legume 🤦🏾‍♂️...

When I heard about that great Haitian Grio place, we decided to give it a try while we were in Miami; it was a big mistake. First of all, when I was finally able to order over the phone( after calling for more than 15 mins), the guy already said with an attitude that I was talking too fast. However, when I asked him to tell me about the menu, this is where I got lost, it looks like I was in a speed reading competion where he definitely wanted to win; indeed he did. When we came to pick up the order after puzzling out where to park and we are talking about common sense folks(parking is horrible by the way), we waited an additional 35 minutes, standing in a hot, small, and kind of smelly place( no chairs or if there was, maybe two or three; so many people were standing and waiting in such small place... I though I was going to pass out and I am not claustrophobic! And again no apologies for the waiting time; it's okay I guess ... After we finally had the food and went back to our hotel and eat, we were facing some dry fried sad and undercooked plantains; the grio meat was hard with no taste, the rice was not edible at all; the small lettuce salad was dead for days and looked miserable; the "pickliz" wa certainly not authentic, it's made of some carrots and onion swimming in an clear orange liquid ... What was that? We were brave enough to taste it...I did not taste any spiciness or seasoning. That's frankly a food crime! We had to throw away all the food; such a big deception... If you are looking for authentic, fresh, or good food, this is definitely not the...

So i ordered my food over the phone at 2:15pm. I get there at 3pm, i told the guy i ordered already, and he says this line is for people who is just now ordering, so i had to wait for the woman to tell her i placed an order; there was another beautiful lady that walked in and told the guy she is not ordering she ordered already, he immediately went and asked the cook "is this lady order ready she is here". Mean while its 3:15pm, People coming in after me is being served, me and this other young girl walked in at 3pm and she asked them "Are yall serving those who walk in after us cause we were here first"? The lady server says "No these people", called and placed their order so I yelled and say i placed my order since 2:15pm it is now 3:20pm where is my food none of the workers can give me a response! Bottom line is i ordered at 2:15pm, got there at 3pm, i didn't get served my food until 3:45pm. And they served me a little bit meat and rice. I guess they were mad at me for being upset at them!. HORRIBLE SERVICE!. I stayed and didnt leave cause i had someone else's...
