I am editing my review . You may ask why . The original review is for the Cafe Creme that existed prior to the new management . I attended Cafe Creme under the new management July 29, 2023 . I took in some jazz music by the MOCA museum took in viewing some art as well as shooting some photos . I was extremely looking soooo forward towards the magic I always felt I experienced via Cory & Claude the former proprietors. They had a particular way of doing things as well as the staff . The food was always super tasty as well as a presentation appealing to the eye as well as the palate. They had an amazing bartender who is no longer there as well who seem to have serious experience and knowledge . Not your average bartender . He would sometimes serve the food as well .

Under the new management The food is far from French even though they say it's french Italian 😏 . The menu is completely changed . So i was pretty disappointed . The service mmmm wasn't the worst but it wasn't the best either . Seemed like she could not tell me much about the dish I decided to order . It was a truffle pesto dish . It wasn't bad mmmm but it wasn't great . Maybe it was an off night I don't know . The hours have changed and they close early somewhere around 4pm if that tells you anything . Breakfast or lunch may be you best time for food . There is no more TV to view any sports or news . I had to laugh . Asking my server what desert she had to offer . Apparently she did not know . Every server should have a list even if it changes daily. I should not have to get up and view it . Which I did and could not do since the tables set up so close to the bakery counter where there were people sitting made it ultimately impossible to view anything so I skipped dessert . Needless to say the experience was not great . 2 to 3 stars at most . They are riding on the ahirtails of the original management . It may pass for some but I don't think I will drive out of my way to go there . I wish I could have had a better experience to make up for not being able to taste the French style cuisine of Mr. Claude .

My experience is always great . Cory and Claude are always friendly as is their staff as well . The service has always been very good . A clean environment outdoors and indoors . I have been in the kitchen and it is perfect . Bathroom is always well kept . Last but not least I am always enjoying the cuisine of course . Why else do you go haha . The biggest reason I became a fan was because they used to own the Buena Vista Deli . Loved going there when they owned the Deli . The food is reasonably priced , and plenty of parking . If your into art they are right nexted door to the...

I am not prone to writing negative reviews, preferring to accentuate the positive but...when service and quality of food is consistently off the mark, I tend to speak up. I came this close 👌to a catty rejoinder when asked by the person who took my order, “is there anything else you would like “. In my head my reply was “ yes, can I buy you a personality because apparently that gene was not included in your DNA batch”, but alas, I kept it to myself. Now, this was the same person I was assisted by the previous night, with the same degree of charm, but I chalked it up to it being the end of the night, Friday, a long week,... Just my luck , today, I get the same order taker, with the same “friendly” attitude. Just as a slight example, I had gotten distracted by a call from one of my children, which apparently caused me to be on the line too long for her liking without signing the merchant’s copy of my credit card receipt. Once again, she asked me, but this time with an edge, “do you want anything else because I need you to clear the line.” Well, needless to say, my instinctive New Yorkness was about to tear it’s head and really let her have it but what would have been the point. Ok, so, onto the important part, the food. Keep in mind, at this point, I have only had pastries and not anything from the main menu. The only thing worse than the service was the pastries. Bottom line...HORRIBLE. Last night’s eclair was stale. Again, I was willing to accept that it was the end of the night and they had probably been sitting there for a while. But...this morning’s almond pastries were dry and tasteless. The espresso I downed too fast to tell without sugar because my main purpose in ordering it was as a backup to my inhaler, which I had forgotten at home. The taste was overly bitter, burned coffee but it didn’t matter, it served its purpose. The “cafe con leche “ was...what can you say...almost impossible to swallow. I know people rave about this place but I attribute it to the “oasis effect”. There are so few cafés in this part of North Miami that I suspect there is a tendency to compromise on quality and/or service. Or maybe it’s just me and my tendency to overestimate people and eating establishments, at least the first time around. The one positive thing I can say is that you do not have to learn a new vocabulary in order to order coffee here.

And that’s the way it was kiddies. As Scarlett would say....tomorrow is...

Hello, I love you, and goodbye sums my experience. Inconsistent service (Lucia is the exception) and food/value made all the difference. Discovering Cafe Creme was a very happy day. I was able take the dog early in the morning to enjoy breakfast under the canopy. I had an egg and cheese croissant with a side salad, served with an outstanding dressing. I asked to have the eggs over medium instead of scrambled. The runny-ness of the yolk intermingled with the textures of the croissant and cheese left me with a smile with every bite. So, I kept going back. Sometimes the service was excellent, sometimes not so good. The salmon croissant was absolutely delicious but was not served with anything else and left me still hungry, so I waited and waited for someone to check on me but had to find someone to bring me a side of chips. Still I went back. This time, however, I ordered the egg and cheese croissant again but did not get the sandwich: no sliced croissant with melted cheese fixed to perfection, no side salad, no baguette and jam. The salt on the table was empty. I couldn't even season the eggs which did appear in front of me. Still I ate the meal and finished without ever seeing my server return to ask if I had everything as expected. I finally went inside and gave my card to the food runner. I thought at least I would have saved money for only getting a couple of eggs and a cold piece of bread. No, full price was charged. Then the server did not understand what had been served vs. what I ordered. Finally, she deducted $1 from the price. Really, $1? Hello, I love you,...

Hello Miami👋🌴 (The ultimate 3-day itinerary…

We recently revisited Cafe Creme, a restaurant we absolutely loved two months ago. My wife even posted a glowing 5-star review raving about the food (chicken curry, G.O.A.T sandwich, and quiche lorraine). In fact, we raved about it so much that we recommended it to family and friends, and even had family bring us takeout from there. Imagine our disappointment, then, to find Cafe Creme has undergone a significant transformation. They've rebranded as an Italian restaurant and revamped the menu entirely. While the atmosphere remains pleasant, the food fell short of our previous experience. We opted for the chicken and turkey sandwiches from their specials menu. While not bad, they were forgettable compared to the incredible sandwiches we had before. The bread, in particular, seemed to lack the freshness we remembered. It's important to note that we're not angry or upset with the ownership or the restaurant itself. The food was decent, and the ambiance was still inviting. However, there's no denying that Cafe Creme has changed something undeniably great, and in our opinion, not for the better. We hope the owner takes this review as constructive feedback. While change can be positive, we miss the Cafe Creme we experienced before - the one that had us raving to everyone we knew.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sapori Miami for breakfast, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfectly capturing the essence of an Italian morning. A standout of our visit was the amazing service provided by Fabricio, a waiter we have had the fortune of following to various establishments over the years. As always, Fabricio was attentive, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. His passion for delivering top-notch service and ensuring a delightful dining experience truly sets him apart. The breakfast offerings at Sapori Miami were a delightful mix of traditional Italian flavors and innovative twists. Each dish was prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, making for a delicious and memorable meal. Whether it was the rich espresso, the perfectly baked pastries, or the savory breakfast entrees, every bite was a testament to the culinary expertise of the restaurant. Overall, Sapori Miami has quickly become a new favorite for breakfast, largely thanks to the incredible service from Fabricio and the outstanding quality of the food. We look forward to many more visits and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic Italian or French breakfast experience.
