Bruegger's Bagels — Restaurant in North Oaks

We really like their slightly chewy Bagels, but the process of making them up seems a little under-developed. Does it make sense to put onion and peppers in the bagel only half cut, then put them on top of an egg. It is going to slide out. My pet irritation is when they fail to cut the bagel fully in half. By the time one goes to eat it, the entire contents of a 'Western' will want to leave when you pick it up, so not being properly cut is just the end. Plastic cutlery on a sheet of paper on a plastic tray does not hack it.

They used to have their own brand of coffee, but then they swapped to Caribou which I like a lot less.

The rewards scheme is bizarre. There are the points one earns and offers made to all members. However, what we have discovered over time is that you can take up only ONE of however many offers are there, OR redeem some points. When they ring it up on the till is the first clue you have that this is the case.

Great staff, and amazing food. This Caribou is conveniently placed next to the Caribou Coffee and many other establishments including the UPS store, Walgreens, and a bank. There are numerous other restaurants in the same strip mall like building. There is a wide menu variety and very friendly staff. When you walk in you see people sitting and reading the newspaper or quietly talking together. You also see people working on their computers or having a meeting with someone else. It is a great meet-up place or a spot to get some work done. Or maybe just enjoy one of the light, fluffy and delicious bagels. There is a variety of seating options including tables with many chairs, booths, or personal tables. The food is always fantastic. However, it seems their order-ahead feature is disabled every few weeks. Not sure why, and it’s pretty frustrating when I often don’t have the time to stand in line for 20 minutes and wait when I could have made things easier for everyone and simply submitted an order so the staff know exactly what I want. They are missing out on a big revenue stream by not having this feature available as I often order $20+ worth of food on the order ahead feature. It also seems every time I do order ahead, I have to mentally tack on 10 minutes to the expected time the food will be ready as I have never actually had it ready by the time it says.
