Lots here is right. Including the employees. Friendly cashier, people clearing tables, employees cooking pasta a great place to be. The reason for the one-star deduction: it's not fun to see food that's appealing knowing you can't have a piece of the pie without ordering a whole pie with your buffet. I suggested charging $2. or $3. more and maybe giving a wristband to those people that are tempted by the delicious sounding and looking gluten free crust. Boo hoo. Fun to go to a buffet that has a handful of pasta variations which are quickly, freshly cooked after ordering. Then, even more than five sauces to choose along with toppings. I learned you can also request garlic butter to top the noodles. Yum. The fresh salad bar had lots of variety. I disliked the serving tongs being pierced through the green leaves in order to stand upright. Doing so bruised and mangled spinach type leaves. I thought an unknowing customer did the aesthetically unpleasing, deed which also made serving from a pre-sworded tool challenging. Later, to my dismay, watching the waitress go back and ensure that tongues were all standing erect. Why? If that is necessary, consider stabbing the tongues in the ice next to the dishes. Pizzas and pizza style desserts are in ample supply with lots of varieties of each. Plenty of seating, no wait, the restaurant was busy. I would return more frequently if I could pay more and have the ability to plate as I prefer.

Complaint: First I need to say that I love PPC, but for the last 3 months, I had to hunt for the pizzas I want to eat. They don’t make all the different pizzas like they use to, you have to ask for a specific kind and then hope that they make it for you, the last 2 visits I waited for a bbq pizza and a buffalo wing pizza, I requested these 2 but instead they made a half of each one, my 3 kids were very disappointed because there was no raspberry pizza and they never made one. My wife was waiting for a Hawaiian pizza and they never made it. Very disappointed. I recently went to PPC at Logan and they have all the different pizzas hot and ready like it should be. I mean it is a pizza buffet. I’m considering driving tho this location instead the one at North Ogden from now on. Anyways PPC is one of my favorites place to eat with the family. Update 6/2022 PPC in Logan is better than this location, there are all types of pizza at any time you don’t even have to wait for them to make it, they make sure all the pizzas are there fresh and warm. Update 2/17/2023 the pizza was old, they don’t make buffalo wing pizza unless you ask for, I was there for 50 minutes and they make half of cheese, half of peperoni, half of hawaian, by the time I tried to get a piece it was gone. Drove from Brigham City all for this. Like I said PPC at Logan is the best!!

We have always loved this place, (especially when they used to give kids school coupons, and put coupons everywhere), but the last few times have been way different. Tonight at 8 pm, no pizza. My husband asked if they’re almost closing, they said no. He looked right at the pizza trays and they didn’t even get the hint. They saw him recording this, didn’t get the hint. People kept going up and walking back to their seats, he said. At least the pasta was good he said. (I wasn’t there but was ticked when I saw this video). For $15 bucks? I would have been on that right away! But he was just annoyed and left. I’m out of town so he was excited to go eat whatever he wanted, but the experience wasn’t what he hoped for, and everyone else I’m sure! He figured them seeing him recording, or basically showing them there was nothing to eat, would have been enough. Last time when I was there, I asked if they could make a peach pizza, it’s my favorite. They were out of peaches they said. It’s literally the only reason I personally go there.

You can definitely tell that the place recently changed management, and not in a good way.

We used to go to this location almost weekly for MONTHS because everything was always well taken care of here. The pizzas and dessert items were replaced after a certain amount of time, ensuring the guests always had fresh, moist food. The salad bar was always stocked and wiped down, and the pasta sauces were always delicious and tasted fresh.

Unfortunately we moved away, and haven't been able to come here for quite a while, and we drove quite a distance just to come back to this one since it was always so good.

We should have stayed away and let our memories of how the place USED to be live on.

The pizzas were hard as cardboard, dry, greasy (even on some of the ones that aren't normally greasy, which we couldn't figure out) and didn't appear to be getting rotated unless the ran completely out, the salad bar was a mess and almost out of a few items most of the time we were there, the tables were rather dirty.

Now, on to the pasta sauces. I watched a few people walk up to a couple of the sauces and stir them around, lift the ladle, shake their heads And drop the ladle back down and get something else. After ordering a pasta dish to start my meal as I always had in the past, I looked at the pasta sauces and noticed the both of the cream based sauces had separated, which happens when you have too much fat ( which is usually butter in the case of the cream based sauces) or you overcook the sauce, or the holding temperature is too high (which continues to cook it as well), and it causes the sauce to have a nasty soured almost rotten flavor and texture.

And then there's the desserts. The one thing I always looked forward to after my yummy pizzas and pasta dishes was the deserts (mainly the cinnamon sticks).

Walked up and saw almost a full thing of the cinnamon ones and was happy, thinking that meant they were fresh. I grabbed a few of them, and bit into one and it felt like I bit into a thin, dry piece of cardboard. I went and asked the guy behind the counter if there was fresh ones coming and he said yes, they had some working, but given how long it took to come out, he didn't have someone start it til after I mentioned it.

When he put the fresh ones out I grabbed a few of them and noticed they were still paper thin, not like the big, fluffy ones that they used to make, and it was still like biting into cardboard.

The only thing I could think of to be tgis drastic of changes throughout the whole place was there was recently a change in management, and upon voicing our concerns to a member of the staff in our way out, they confirmed my suspicions that there had indeed been a change in management.

This used to be one of our favorite places, and now I can tell you we will NOT be back unless there is another change in management who takes pride in their place again, and doesn't try to save money and cut corners by leaving out old product that is all dried up and thin breading for...

I've been to Clinton, and layton locations and this was my first time going to this location and it was the worst experience I've had from PPC. When I got there I had a special request for a pizza (hasn't been an issue at other locations) asked 2 girls if I could request it, they said yes they will ask them to put it in. They told me it would be put out with the others, I waited and ate some salad while I waited... went back about 10-12 mins later. It wasn't out yet. I stood by the pasta for atlesst 2 minutes and waited for someone to acknowledge me, (they all looked like they were trying to avoid me) all employees looked like they were all under 21. Not sure if any were managers but didn't look like it from a customer point of view

Finally 1 guy came up and I then asked if it was close to ready. He looked around and said sorry about that, it looks like it didn't get put in, we'll get that right now... I said okay, about 8-10 minutes? He said yes, walked back to my table and waited again.. went back and it was STILL not there. This time I asked my friend to ask about it as I stood there. They told HER the same thing! (Sorry, looks like we didn't get it in the oven) it was just an Alfredo sauce pizza and cheese! So I said, im done waiting and asked for cups for Alfredo sauce and after that I went back for a piece of dessert and it was finally out but that was 40 mins after being there. I only had room for 1 slice so I was very very disappointed that I couldn't enjoy more. :(

I really do love the PPC chain and that its a pizza buffet but I may have to just drive out of my way to another location because this one (even though its closest to home) has issues. I honestly wish I didnt even leave a tip because of this service I received.

I get it. I used to work at a pizza place, I get you wanna hangout with friends at work but WORK COMES FIRST.

Please fix...

We have been patronizing this location since it opened years ago. It seems like it has changed ownership or is being severely mismanaged. The past 7 or 8 times we have gone it has gotten decreasingly worse. The pizza is haphazardly thrown together and generally overcooked. It looks terrible right out of the oven and there is no enjoyment in consuming it. Many of the sauces on the pasta bar have been overcooked and are separated changing the experience dramatically. The salad bar has remained fairly stable. There was once an enthused and excited staff and the now the staff seems very disconnected and almost in a trance at times. There used to be a great energy with the staff and the restaurant that is just not present anymore. The restaurant itself has had very little upkeep since it was converted to a Pizza Pie Cafe years ago. It now looks dull, dingy and in need of a major refresh. The landscaping is all burnt up around the building and the overall feel is that there is no care or investment going into the business anymore. The original owner was always out on the floor, would visit the tables of the guests and see how things were going and had a great energy that he empowered the staff with. I have not see a manager on duty for a long time, at least someone that is not a teenager. It seems as if there is no management direction and there are just a bunch of teenagers running the place doing the best they can with not much understanding or vision. So sad to see this location fall into disrepair at every level. Pizza Pie Cafe in North Ogden has been a huge part of our family over the years, but unfortunately the days of its glory are long gone and we will not be going back and spending our money on a well below...
