My review of my Bullfrog Swimspa S150 has two parts, the good stuff and then not so good stuff. On the good stuff side. The S150 is quite a nice machine. It is insulated well, simply laid out (for maintenance) and comfortable to use. I really like the fact that they have separate jet packs in each corner. They allowed us to pick any ones we wanted, and even we’re willing to swap them out for different ones after delivery. The crew (JD, Casey, Kaleb and Kenny) that came to set the spot up was hard-working and cordial during the time they worked. The couldn't get the pergola to sit solidly so they deferred to a future technical visit. I scheduled a crane on my own, so they didn’t have anything to do with that. I love the swim spa itself. It’s been easy to maintain. It’s comfortable one of the best features of this particular package is the pergola that they built above it to lift the lid on and off with the turn of a key. The pergola is sturdy and built very well. It’s also aesthetically pleasing in our side yard. I haven’t had any problems with water quality or chemistry just yet. There are many blogs to help with that if it occurs. The spa is great for swimming (I’m 6 feet tall and fit fine) and lounging. The jets are powerful and really make our muscles feel good. My wife has experienced great relief to the many pains she suffers due to Fibromyalgia. All in all, we’re happy so far. On the bad side: The installers showed up without some of the parts they needed to finish the pergola. It took 4 days before the installation was completed. They fastened it to my slab with blue concrete ‘bolts’ that appeared kind of small. The first time it rained, the pergola lumber weeped some ugly rust colored oxide all over my concrete deck. When I called about it, there was no willingness to fix it. The pergola in the showroom has been sitting for years indoors so really didn’t reflect the actual one I got. I was told to use Muriatic acid to wash it away. That stuff is toxic and would have killed the trees near my spa. I used something else that only sort of worked. The spa was delivered with a totally different set of jet packs than I ordered. That’s where the swap was nice. They let me pick the ones I wanted as long as they were available in their showrooms. I don’t understand how their manufacturing system works with that kind of error. They also delivered it with the audio system installed which I didn’t order. I’m ok with that but why do they charge so much when they send it anyway? I had a really hard time talking to my salesman after the sale. He was often ‘not available’ and only returned my texts after some significant delays. He was nice enough but he should have had more contact with me for such a major purchase. I was told the installers would educate me on water maintenance but they only talked about the mechanical parts and told me to go back to the showroom for the education. Stephanie at the store is wonderful in educating us. She has been there each time I went and took a water sample.
All in all, we are happy so far. Thanks for reading...
Read moreWe have had our Bullfrog spa for over three years now. We obtained a ours during Covid-19. I must say that we have absolutely love our spa! It has been a life saver. What sold me on the spa was the simplicity of the plumbing, the amount of motors (which equalled more independent controls), the functionality of the swappable jet packs, and the quality that goes with Bullfrog.
We shopped for other spas for over 6 months looking at the different variety options and even going to show rooms/event that featured different brands. The other spas we had seen just didn't have the same quality/options. In fact... some shouldn't be sold at all.
Ok, back to the review on our Bullfrog. The price was higher. Yes. After you search out different spas you can quickly see the reason. The engineering team that designed these spas need a pat on the back. Same goes for all of you who help assemble these gems.
One last thing worth noting... I think it's worthwhile to mention the after sale support. We live three hours away from the showroom. We have had nothing but quick responses from Gerry. She has made sure that our spa needs have been cared for from day 1. One example. We had some warrenty work need done on our filter housing. The design was updated. Gerry shipped out the updated part to us. We had questions on some of the functions. No problem. She got back to us with instructions. Consumables. Same story. We even called to ask about some chem uses. The list goes on.
Again, we have had our spa for over three years now. We have not only enjoyed the spa and all of the wonderful features, but have been very cared for by Bullfrog. For our family and friends, there really is no other...
Read moreSo far, not impressed. Of course, the first visit everything goes well and we put down the 10% for our new swim spa. As we are leaving a sales person tells us we should come back they are going to have another model by the next day. We come back two days later and they don't have it. Not a problem we didn't call ahead. While there we add accessories and set up a site visit date. I receive confirmation they are coming via text the day prior. The appointment was set up to be late in the evening as I work graveyards. No one shows so I call and leave a message around 1659 hours. The following day I call and someone picks up, you can hear them talking, and they hang up. I call back again and get Nicole and she gives me to Terry. Terry tell me she left me a message and when I tell her she didn't she says, "oh darn it, I'm so sorry I thought I left a message telling you he was sick." Then says he will be out Friday. I'm just shocked that a 4.6 star business, recommended by my mother in law would fail to do the simplest steps to prevent a new customer from being completely concerned at this point. Crossing my fingers things play out well. I will be posting follow-up of appointment (site check) and installation (September/October).
Update- Service person showed up on time today. (Maybe above was just a fluke.) Always happy to add stars. Service person advised we didn't need a crane. Great news, because now we can throw that money to the cost of the spa. :) I'll update again with delivery, spa set-up and pics.
Uodate- Jan 10, 2022 Swimspa is everything we hoped...
