Watami Sushi Bistro — Restaurant in North Ogden

If I could give Zero stars I would… Myself and a group of 7 friends came to eat at what used to be a good restaurant. We walked in to a cold un inviting place.. We were so rudely “ greeted” by whom I assume is the owner.. She rudely asked how many then sighed when I told her 8.. she continued to grab only 5 menus out a huge stack and when I say literally slammed them on the table.. she slammed them on the table.. then rudely asked “ what do you want to drink.. and rushed through us saying “ ok” rudely… I can’t begin to describe how un comfortable she made us feel. She was EXTREMELY rude beyond belief. It baffles me that someone would treat paying costumers like they are a burden.. especially when the restaurant was empty! We were doing her a favor… we got our drinks and waited for 15 minutes:. She still had not come back to ask us if we were ready to order.. we all got up and told her we were leaving and then she asked “ why what’s the problem” and then demanded we pay for the drinks when we had already asked her to give us a receipt and let us pay for them… I don’t know if she is the owner or just a worker.. but her behavior and customer service skills we’re disgusting and below average. My husband and I used to order out from here at least once a week.. after being treated that way. We will...

We give this restaurant our business quite often, on average 2 times a month. It’s the only sushi restaurant in North Ogden. The past 4-5 times the service was horrible. We dined in a few weeks ago and waited over 1.5 hours for our food, when there were only 4 other tables being served in the restaurant that evening. I ordered online tonight, was told it would be ready in 40 minutes. Arrived at the restaurant 40 minutes later, waited 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge me. I paid, and then waited another 30 minutes for my food. This was a pick up order! My child and dog were in the car the whole time while I was waiting, and my car was running with the AC on that entire time. Gas prices aren’t cheap! I was really annoyed! They don’t have enough staff, there was only 1 lady running around doing everything. She was very rude to me, but she is always rude. She is rude on the phone when you call your order in, and rude when you dine in. The sushi is cheap, it’s the only sushi place in Ogden, and it taste decent….that’s the only reason we keep giving this place our business. We come here in a pinch. This restaurant has potential to be a great place. If another sushi place opens up in North Ogden they will lose customers. RUDE! SUPER...

Seriously the best sushi I’ve ever had, I oder take out at least once a week. Long wait times but you can’t blame them for they are severely short staffed.

Everyone saying their service is rude needs to man up, they are professional. You don’t need to be coddled like a baby that way most Americans are when served at a restaurant. They assume fast, blunt, and serious faced people are being rude, like seriously? Point blank, they’re great.

The only reason I don’t give them full stars is because they often close earlier then their closing time. I’ve worked at a restaurant, I understand doing so if it’s incredibly slow and not worth it, but it’s very misleading and they don’t change it on google. If you close your business early, it’s not hard to press a couple buttons saying you are. Could’ve saved me...
