Five stars aren't enough... need more stars. I have NEVER had such a fantastic dining experience... I mean every aspect was awesome... The server smiled the prettiest and most genuine smile I've ever seen when I walked in. She honestly must be a very happy person because she didn't half smile or fake it once the whole time I was there which tells me that she must actually enjoy being there, which helps me enjoy being there. I got coffee and water... And dude... whoever thought of the whole, 'give the customer a huge bottle to refill water and coffee' idea is a genius and should be given an Island to rule over. I ordered the crab Benny or whatever it's called and WOW. That cook was an artist. I seriously didn't even want to cut my food and eat it. I sat shaking my head in a state of disbelief. I wasn't expecting such a good experience so I was really blown away each little step of the way. Kelsey, my server, was on top of her duties like she was programmed specifically to wait on me. It was insane. She probably would have poured my drinks for me if I'd asked. At one point another server was bringing so much food out to a table she needed help from someone in a black shirt... I don't know if he was a cook or just kitchen staff but even that dude was smiling and made sure to wave at a super cute baby nearby. What on earth are they giving these people to be so happy? Even if they're paying them 100$ they still deserve more. I ate the delicious meal and was actually full, which I wasn't expecting because it didn't seem like much food, really but I'm a bigger dude and like big plates. Again I was met with a smile, along with my check. I had to ask for a manager because there's no excuse to enjoy such a fine thing without letting the person in charge know what a fine job their staff is doing. As much as I'm focusing on Kelseys performance I should also comment on the rest of the staff... they all seemed genuinely happy... Like I was in some weird 50's tv show or in a version of the Truman show. I asked for the manager and shortly after, i met Brent. I had to tell him what a fantastic job Kelsey and the chef had done. I also wanted him to know that HE must be a really good manager to have such a happy and hard-working staff. He explained that he had only been managing this store for a short time and I had to thank him for the effort he must be putting in. I almost wanted to apply to work there because I want to be as happy as Kelsey and Brent are but a smile doesn't look quite as good pasted on my face, as much as it does on theirs. Anyways, in my opinion the whole staff should be rewarded greatly and Kelsey should be paid her weight in gold... no, make it MY weight in gold. Not only will I be frequenting this establishment but I am going to make it my duty to make sure everybody I know knows just how awesome eating at Scramblers is. Seriously, GO TO SCRAMBLERS. Ask for Kelsey (I'm sure they're all great but this girl seriously has the nicest smile I've ever seen). Try one of the Bennys. Tip Kelsey a million dollars. Shake Brents hand. And then become a regular like I'm going to and I'll see you up there next...
Read moreI went in after having surgery and I was with my boyfriend. I walk in and there are 3 tables occupied. A woman sitting by herself reading, a party of 3, getting ready to leave and another party of 3-4, that a server was helping. I waited a few minutes for someone to seat me, as everyone else was in the back. Once someone comes up, she seats me and asks for drinks...I ask for 2 waters. My boyfriend had already gone to the bathroom, so I decided to go too, as I had secured the table. We wait for about 10 minutes plus and nobody ever comes back. We still don't have the 2 waters I requested before I went to the bathroom. When she FINALLY came back out, I left and explained to her that there was literally NOBODY in the place. Her excuse was she was doing 'sidework'. I have been a server for 10 years plus. Any sidework you can do up front, you do up front. Rolling silverware, filling caddies, etc., should be done while you're 'manning' the door. It wasn't swamped. It was a Monday morning before 9am. People have to learn to prioritize their time and become eager to make money. We have completely dropped the ball in the service industry, with regards to greeting, following up and welcoming back. Sorry Sammi, but I had...

No one at the podium when we walked in, while other employees stared at us just standing there waiting to be seated. We didn't wait long...it was just unprofessional. It took longer than expected to place our order, and when it arrived the sides were missing.
My wife and I finished our meals by the time we got our breakfast hash browns. I had ordered mine well done and they did not come out to order, on top of being late. Neither of us ate them... We waited (upset) for the bill; till we decided to go to the register, and just pay for our food by forcing someone to tend to us.
I paid the total amount due for our meals with no tip, and didn't bother complaining. No one seemed to be overly concerned, so why bother. I also didn't want to seem like I was trying to get something for free, or some type of discount.
The food was ok...the service was sub-par! I most likely will not be returning. It is also note worthy to mention that the restaurant wasn't busy, and that it was less...
