Unexpectedly my fridge stopped 4th of July week.I went to Home Depot, N Olmsted to look for replacement.I ordered for 7/12 an LG. During this process there was a lot of root toot tooting about sale, free delivery, free installation. But what a mislead to the consumer. So distorted, quite angering once your reality hits you. Yes they tell you delivery/install is not done by plumbers or of a trade, ok but shouldnt installers be educated on on product, process, install? 7/12 came..my fridge was brought with no call when on way but they will tell you policy, they suppose to, etc. Upon arriving and little to my knowledge when it came to undoing the waterline from my broken fridge i was told they could do nothing? But HD advised that shut off within six feet , there wasn't a problem? So they stood there an watched me attempt to undo water line, but my shut off valve was broke. Never knew!! They told me to sign a paper, they had to go, other delivery's, rude, saying they left item in garage which is what they did, i didn't inspect or anything they just told me to reschedule an that then I would sign off it was inspected. The one guy wanted me to understand "they were just like Door Dashers" What!!! So best HD toots installers claiming to be that of a Door Dasher? Shouldn't a Corp want better representation? Or a consumer should just accept poor service because what, one customer has a issue over thousands, no big deal. Sad, very sad. So today 7/16 they came back out..took the old..installed new and today Anthony and Jon, top notch installers. Nice, hard working and went above and beyond but in back of fridge, plate was bent. So in calling in to report, I am told, oh, you only have 48 hrs from delivery to report dents/dings, issues. Wth?? 1st off I didn't ask for fridge to b left, the1st Door Dashers, chose lazily to leave, they made no effort to take back. 2ndly I didn't sign off on paper for inspection for I was told to do on 2nd attempt. Had I known definitely it would've been taken. I'm told today after speaking with LG they will replace the plate in a couple of days. The big picture..this experience was awful, frustrating, disappointing an disheartening. But that's not all of it. When fridge broke down, I went to Home Depot 7/5 again N Olmsted, I purchased a MC ice chest. I brought home, big dent on bottom, 7/6 I took back to HD did exchange, no dents found, took home didn't need for couple days so I left alone. When I did go to put items in, the seal on lid was loosely hanging, so on 7/12 I went to HD, talked to Jaime, who talked to Mgr. For I wanted to make sure no issues returning a 2nd time. I was told no problem so 7/13, I went for exchange for #3. Dealt with CSR, Surge who initially was pleasant professional an understanding.Did exchange so #3, literally got it home, opened trunk, big dent!!! I shut trunk, drove back to HD, dealt again with Surge. Now, not so professional or nice. Another chest was brought up, but along seam there was a split #4. I advised, not comfortable with that. I was then told of all the boxes that were opened. I'm sorry, should a paying customer settle for or deal with defects, because I missed that memo. Very rude an a definite attitude change. I was then told no more in store but earlier I was told 7 by Surge. I went back to appliances and the worker there told me oh Avon an R River has item. So I was being told to go elsewhere? Because of product defects? I asked for Mgr. I was then told after I made aware, I knew more in store by employee that oh they found a pallet with more. It was near an hour total in store this trip before another chest #5 was taken up front, I did the exchange, did look over all parts an finally, took it home.Clearly, I needed product, would I have tried so hard? A day off at HD is not my top choice of spending my day off at. I will never ever again, on a major appliance, deal with Home Depot. I dealt with Lowes for a washer dryer set delivered some time ago an that experience was day an night difference. Not a negative moment. Never ever...
Read morePlease don’t waste your money here if you want to buy anything for your house. I bought drywalls and wood pieces for my new house. I ordered them five day ago, and today the workers were supposed to start working. They came at 8 in the morning and waited until 5 in the afternoon, I didn’t hear anything from HomeDepot. They were supposed to deliver my stuff today and they just never showed up. I had to give $1000 to the workers because they showed up but there wasn’t any work because there were no materials. When I called to ask about my order, they told me that it was supposed to come in two days. I told them that I need it by today and they didn’t do anything about it. I went to the store to talk to a manger, he told me that it would come tomorrow at 8 in the morning. When I went back to my house, he called and said that they cannot deliver it tomorrow and that I have to wait until Tuesday. They didn’t do anything about it and it is very frustrating, I already spent $1000 and no progress happened in my house. And I obviously I am going to pay another $1000 when they come on Tuesday to finish the work, basically I am spending $2000 instead $1000 because HomeDepot doesn’t know what they have in stock and what they don’t. I really don’t recommend buying from them. And if you have a Menards near you, go to...
Read moreUpdate: once again Bridget was there helping customers with some issues regarding their purchase and making a small gesture like saying "have a nice day" that represents a pleasant experience. Definitely a location worth going to if you still value great customer service and finding some awesome clearance items.
I'm doing some home improvements and went to the Great Northern location. They pretty much have the same things as the other home depot in Strongsville but what sets this store apart is the customer service. I've made several trips here and every time, I've had an interaction with such friendly, knowledgeable and customer oriented individuals. Some of them are Bridget, Susie, Scott and Donna. Bridget is so sweet and is constantly involved with customers. She's not like most of the people that are at the self checkout who just stand around and talk to other staff members. She actually talks to customers, will answer questions and keeps moving things along. There's also an older gentleman who works in plumbing and he is also very accommodating. Though this store is further away from me than the Strongsville store, I go to this location because of the service. I hope management reads this and gives recognition these...
