The Nut Shop — Restaurant in North Olmsted

The Nut shop, where to begin... We had stopped in this plaza for another vendor and I was intrigued by what else was there. So within a few steps I walked into this gem of a find. The man running this business today(did not get his name), was the first great experience. There are so many Middle Eastern snacks that I knew nothing about, but, wanted to try them all. Well he let us sample anything we wanted and gave in depth analysis on items we were curious about. Not one thing that we tried was bad. No lie, it was all very delicious. It was on this day that I found out that watermelon seeds are edible and not only edible but absolutely amazing! I highly recommend trying them. Lastly, I had asked many questions about cultural delicacies I had only ever heard about or seen on television. I was taught about Turkish coffee. How to mix it, grind it, prepare it and drink it. So stop in and give this place a check. You'll not leave without a smile, guaranteed. Time to get home and make Turkish coffee and eat some Middle Eastern...

The Nut Shop is one of my favorite Northeast Ohio small businesses. It's impossible not to feel welcome, Mohammad is so friendly, is always stocking new items, and is more than happy to offer samples. The prices are super reasonable, especially for home roasted nuts and imported candy. My go-to's are the Smoked Palestinian seeds and the saffron pomegranate Turkish delights. To all my chocolate and coffee lovers, you have to go to this place. We got a Turkish coffee set that absolutely compliments a blend of culture and modernism. The tea set has Arabic calligraphy and it is so elegant.

They have so many different dessert options that you will not know what to get and what not to get. The service was up to the mark, the person who greeted us was very pleasant and respectful.
