We visited on a Saturday evening while visiting the area for our daughters soccer event. I spent about an hour on the computer searching the many restaurants in the area, looking at pictures and reading reviews trying to decide on where to eat dinner. Once I narrowed down to a few places, I started calling and everyone would say the same thing "reservations required and we have nothing available until after 9:00" this began to get frustrating because we couldn't wait till that late with the kids. Then I called Frigate's and they said they do not do reservations on weekends (this should be nearly everyone's policy), we drive right over and only had a 20 wait, even with many people ahead of us. Sitting outside is a must to get the most out of the atmosphere, even if you're wait is a little longer. Now the food ... The food was amazing! And more than reasonably priced for the amount and presentation, especially when compared to other restaurants in the area. We started with calamari. I had the special, which was Snapper encrusted in many tasty things, rice and veggies. My wife had the grouper, prepared in a butter sauce and my daughter had the fried grouper sandwich, which was much larger than the bun and she ate every bite. If we are ever in the area again, we'll definitely visit every time!

My daughter was in the mood for crab so after some research we decided to come here. Well, no crab available today. We ordered calamari for the table and I ordered a lobster roll with a glass of the whipering angel, one of my favorite wines. The pour on the wine was extremely light, it didn't even fill half the glass (the glasses are not large by any means). For $13 per glass, it should be what is typical at least. The calamari was good, but again, the portion was so small it did not accommodate the table. I have never seen such a sparse order of calamari. This all should have forewarned me about the main dish. I was so disappointed in the lobster roll. It was the tiniest, thinnest lobster roll ever. It was like a long hot dog bun with the lobster portion spread over this long bun. The lobster itself was nothing special, just cold meat in a bun. It truly should just be removed from the menu because anyone ordering lobster roll is expecting a nice fill of buttery lobster. We spent $175 here and it was so disappointing and not worth it. Our server was good, very attentive and did a great job. The guy bringing out the food however was cranky. We told him they gave both my son and I the wrong potato as we did not order French fries and he waved his hand at us, grunted and left as if we disgusted him. This all was not our server's fault and he apologized, but even great service can't make up for the main focus: the food. Unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant based on our experience.

We love coming to this place. Unfortunately we had not so great service. Our server asked us for our order right after we sat down so we immediately felt rushed. My glass of Malbec had a little fuzz or piece of lint in it and bubbles. Almost like soap bubbles so I said something to the server and his response was Malbec always has bubbles. LOL. No it doesn’t. He brought me a new one.. our food came out right after our appetizers so again, feeling super rushed. I had the macadamia grouper sandwhich wich was great. My Cesar salad was awesome and the dressing was perfect. We also started (or at least tried to start) with the fish dip wich was fresh and creamy. My boyfriend ordered the sashimi plate.. Everything was delicious however the sashimi on the sashimi plate was half frozen. We didn’t say anything because I hate complaining, and I had already felt bad about complaining about the wine. We also had to ask for soy sauce and chopsticks which is no big deal but usually we don’t have to ask. Then as our server walked by to the table next to us he asked “coffee or dessert” literally as he rushed by not even looking at us or stopping at our table, Almost like a drive by lol our bill came and of course BOTH of my wine glasses were in there when I sent the first one back. Again, I hate complaining and I love this place so much so I was really sad to not have such a great experience. I wasn’t even that busy but maybe some customer service training is lacking

Frigate’s Waterfront Bar and Grill is my go-to local happy place here in North Palm Beach after work for Happy Hour on the outdoor patio and bar. The location is excellent with the perfect relaxed atmosphere. A beautiful place to sit outside and watch the boats and nature go by. If you are a fellow boater like me, you will love the Docks and ease to the Intercoastal Waterway via C-17 Canal later also known as the Earman River. The menu has a great mix of seafood, grilled favorites, and classic bar dishes. The Lunch Bowls are delicious and available before 4pm with the Seafood Risotto my favorite and the Spicy Mediterranean is a close second. If you love Taco’s… Mahi Mahi and Grouper Tacos are fantastic!! The bar has a wide range of local craft beers, tropical cocktails, and an extensive list of wines. The wait staff and bartenders make the difference, always friendly and make you feel welcomed. If I had to mention one downside, it would be that the outdoor seating can get a bit crowded during peak hours, but that is expected given the popularity of this local establishment. Overall, Frigate’s Waterfront Bar and Grill is a fantastic spot for anyone looking to enjoy great food, excellent drinks, and a gorgeous waterfront view.

Great ambiance, drive your boat up This is the kind of place to take visitors for a taste of Florida. The three top sellers are the; - Grouper Sandwich, small ( think Wendy's Single) but good. Too small but we split that and the Conch chowder. Certainly NOT the best grouper sandwich I've had, not even close. (A Hilton Head bar is the best)... It needed the mango chutney (had to ask) as it was a bit dry. I like raw onions but the solid disk of Bermuda onion dominated the delicate fish. Had to take it off. Pass. We did enjoy the sweet potato fries & sauce. - Cuban Avacado Salad. Would have gotten it but it was sold out by 2:00PM. Salmon Salad was decent. - Fish tacos. Didn't order those. Tuesday deal? The Fried Green Tomatoes were absolutely delicious and saved the day. A nice surprise. The daily special cheeseburger was a great choice for the unadventurous. With a side Caesar I would have traded my Grouper away 😃 Service was friendly, helpful and professional but too busy... Will return, probably with the same friends. A much better experience than some other waterside bars in the great PB area .

We ate inside, which isn't the best atmosphere, booths have VERY hard wooden benches and it looked very touristy. We eat at the Melbourne location pretty regularly and the inside seems a little more "local." Also, the poor (adorably cute, sweet) hostesses at this location had the most awful uniforms, looked like homeschoolers who made their own clothes. Food was not fantastic. I ordered the Mediterranean Bowl (gluten free option) with the spicy sauce on the side, it has quite a kick and I'm used to authentic Cajun food. It was more like pasta soup, very liquidey and only 2 scallops and 2 shrimp in the entire bowl. My dining partner had the shrimp panini which he said tasted as he expected, was good.... not great. The french fries were the highlight. We sat with no drinks for a substantial amount of time after finishing our meals and waiting on our server to notice and bus the table and/or bring our bill. Not a horrible experience, but they definitely didn't wow us. We will stick with Melbourne location for sure!
