I went to dinner with my family, unfortunately when the drinks came first the beer spilled, then one glass of wine, then the other, crashing into the waters on the table. Needless to say, myself and my daughter were soaked in beer and wine down to our underwear. My father suffered a cut on his ankle from the broken glass. To the bathroom we went to try and clean up, dry off. Deciding to stay because I was soaked in alcohol and could not go anywhere else in this condition as it was now almost 7pm. I was offered a shirt from our waitress which I initially declined bc at that point I was unhappy but fine. But I got cold, because my shirt and jacket were soaked, so I took them up on the offer of a shirt went, put it on and ordered dinner and continued on. Fast forward bill comes, drinks and apps were comped, but dinner was not. We didn't order tomahawk steaks, it was chicken sandwich, a salad and fish I hopped out of my seat bc quite honestly I was flabbergasted. Manager "Phil" couldn't understand why I would think the meal should be picked up. He paid for the drinks and apps..getting nowhere with this guy, I walked away. He comes over to the table, "we were talking" I was done. My father pays the bill, bc we weren't there for a free meal. Here comes Phil, late and wrong...."oh, you paid the bill? I was going to comp it." But he didn't. He didn't void the charge, he didn't offer a gift card, nothing. I call the general manager, "Sam" 2x after the fact no response. I call again, lucky me, asked for Sam and get Phil, go thru this all again, no resolution. Asked him to have Sam call me back. Again no response. Sadly, I WONT be back and I always looked forward to Frigates when I visited. Management is terrible. I spent 3 hrs washing wine out of my clothes, my daughter had a vest with handmade custom and hand painted patches that can't be washed. The cost to have that cleaned was certainly more than the cost of a couple of dinners. Shame on you for saying we got...
Read moreWe waited over 30 minutes for our food. We ask for separate checks. There was a group of eight. The food came out cold and when it was over and said and done and we all got our bill. The bill came out for eight people when we requested separate checks for each couple. When we tried to clarify it with the waitress that we all wanted separate checks, she was totally thrown back and she said we do not do that for a table of eight or more. I've never heard of such a thing. It was a birthday party for a special person to all of us. Then the manager came out before the cake came out and said there is a $15 charge for cutting the cake. This was never told to us when we dropped the cake off prior to the dinner. Not only that, the manager said it right in front of the birthday girl. How unfortunate that was. It was supposed to be a surprise and then when the waitress tried to correct the bill we were charged for drinks that we didn't even drink. So that took forever to get the bill straightened out and then it never really got straightened out. So we asked to speak with the manager. Well we waited and finally the manager came out and she was not receptive to all of these issues. She was making excuses for her staff on believable. I've never been so disappointed in a restaurant in my entire life. This is what happens when the owners believe everything to the staff. Finally, another manager came out other than the one that was going to charge $15 to cut a cake and she totally blew us off like we meant nothing that is not how a smooth business is operated. I finally told her she is a loser and I will talk to the owner tomorrow. What a sad way to and a beautiful day. Because of a staff that is uneducated and not customer service friendly. I will not go back to friggs and I will speak with the owner tomorrow if he will answer his phone because those things should have never happened. It starts at the top. Very...
Read moreMy daughter was in the mood for crab so after some research we decided to come here. Well, no crab available today. We ordered calamari for the table and I ordered a lobster roll with a glass of the whipering angel, one of my favorite wines. The pour on the wine was extremely light, it didn't even fill half the glass (the glasses are not large by any means). For $13 per glass, it should be what is typical at least. The calamari was good, but again, the portion was so small it did not accommodate the table. I have never seen such a sparse order of calamari. This all should have forewarned me about the main dish. I was so disappointed in the lobster roll. It was the tiniest, thinnest lobster roll ever. It was like a long hot dog bun with the lobster portion spread over this long bun. The lobster itself was nothing special, just cold meat in a bun. It truly should just be removed from the menu because anyone ordering lobster roll is expecting a nice fill of buttery lobster. We spent $175 here and it was so disappointing and not worth it. Our server was good, very attentive and did a great job. The guy bringing out the food however was cranky. We told him they gave both my son and I the wrong potato as we did not order French fries and he waved his hand at us, grunted and left as if we disgusted him. This all was not our server's fault and he apologized, but even great service can't make up for the main focus: the food. Unfortunately cannot recommend this restaurant based on...
