King Buffet — Restaurant in North Platte

The sushi like the actual sushi not the rolls the salmon, tuna, and yellow tail was so dried out that it was rubber. I understand that this is a buffet but sushi should not be allowed to dry out that badly! It was like raw fish jerky that's how dry it was. I spit it out and didn't even try any others. Would be better if they had someone making the station where the raw fish could be Prepared then and there so it doesn't dry out it would eliminate some of the waste I saw today as well as would be more respectful of such a beautiful ingredient such as sushi grade fish. The Mongolian was not up to temp and causes under and over cooking. The white rice could tell it was not washed prior to cooking but I let that go as that was the only thing that was edible even though there were parts that were dried to out to where it felt uncooked The chicken as well as the beef all had a sour flavor. Not sure if someone just got over zealous on the cooking wine or vinegar but overall the poor service as well as the poor food quality I won't be back as it was during dinner rush and the sushi was just a violationof beautifulfiah that i cannot forgive. If I could I would have given 0 stars. I did still tip but my server was more worried about the game on the TV than attending...

Honestly hands down the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had or imagined and I’ll go ahead and say worst all around food I’ve had in my life as well. I got it togo, yes they made it fresh/not just scooped from buffet. I don’t think they even sautéd the food it is obvious the Szechuan chicken is just a giant pre made tub in the back and they just microwave it for Togo orders or what I don’t know.

The rice has some weird sticky liquid that basically is some old rotten vegetables or something not sugar .

The hot and sour soup also just tasted ok and getting a few bites into it I could tell all the vegetables are just bad . Right after a few bites of both all this is in the trash can and some strange feeling in your stomach.

The guys up front 2 young guys were 0 help to any of the Togo orders. So I just sat there for 20 minutes. So the host and the cashier basically do nothing they just have the head in the phone.

Honestly knowing that it’s north platte that basically says it all. Do yourself a favor skip both the Chinese restaurants . If you do order just dump this shit straight into the trash can. Please go to jimmy John’s or runza and call it a day....

Foods not bad but how does a small side of rice turn out to almost be double of the sesame chicken dinner? We had to finagle to get xtra-soy packets. They gave us 4 in with the food( which we had to ask to get any) so we asked for more & she handed us only 2 more? & not very friendly about it. In fact honestly the girl that was at the front wasn’t very pleasant at all. We couldn’t understand her much to begin with. We came in to order a carry out, we haven’t been here before so we needed a menu. I kid you not she did not even let us open the menu before wanting our order, she literally wouldn’t let us look she kept asking & asking for our order. My husband ordered sesame chicken quickly & I ended up only ordering a side of rice bc she had attitude. Then she says 20 mins which we didn’t care how long, so we start to sit on the bench or whatever & she said no no you go outside we bring it to you? We were on reset across the road at the truck stop so we had walked.
